1 User tips
Particular use:
The OrthoVET is a Surgery engine and is
there for to impulse different Surgery
handpieces in the Veterinary medicine.
Unparticular use:
The use in the Humanmedicin is not allowed.
The surgery engine can not be sterilized.
This operation manual is for:
1. learned and introduced operators.
Persons who not introduced in the device
can´t use the device.
For the user are the capters 1 – 9.
2. the maintenance personal
The capters 8 and 9 also the capter 13 is
there for the maintenance personal. But
Maintenance personal must read the whole
operation manual.
3. the operator
The capter 10 – 16 are there for the
operator.
Terms are descripted in the glossar.
In this operation manual are following shortcuts
used.

The OrthoVET is a Surgery engine and is
the for to power the Surgery handpiece in
the Veterinary medicin.

5 Device description
The OrthoVET ia a Surgery engine, wich is
constructet for the use in the veterinary medicine,
and is operated over a handpiece.
The principal constituents of the Surgery engine
is the brushless surgery engine with a EMVFiilter and the engine controler.
A ventilator is at the back of the device.
6 Funktions descripion
OrthoVet
The Surgery engine OrthoVET is powering the
Surgery hand piece over the flexible cable. The
engine rotation speed is controled over a foot
switch till 17.500 1/min.

7 Normal Use
7.1
Connection of the Unit
Power supply connection
plug in the flex at the back of the device and
connect it with your outlet
Connection of the foot switch
plug in the foot switch cable at the back of the
unit.
turn the ring right
turn the ring left when you want to plug off the
foot switch
Connection of the flexible cable
At the front of the device there is the felxible
cable connection. Plug it in till it locks.
pull the flexible cable hull back and take the
flexible cable off

Connection of flexible cable to the OrthoVet:
OrthoVet
The flexible cable is for the power
transmisson between the engine and
the handpiece.
Connect the bigger end with the
engine, to do this you must plug it in
till it locks. For unplug you must pull
away from the pin so you can uplug it.
The other end of the flexible cable is
connecting the handpiece. For unplug
you must pull the small button at the
flexible cable.
Before you can use the device attend
to the constable noises of the unit. If
there are some remarkeable noises
dont use the flexible cable.
When you use the flexible cable
attend to a steched cable. Don´t
flexure or snap off the flexible cable
when you use it!
The flexible shafts can be cleaned
and disinfected with all commerical
cleaning agents and disinfectants
wich are suitable for cleaning rubber
and plastic products and are
nationally approved. Follow the
manufacturer´s instructions on dilution
ratios, duration of action, etc. The
flexible shafts are cleaned with a cloth
moistended with disinfectant or with a
soft brush.
The connections on the end of the
flexible cable whitch is connected to
the drill handpiece should be
lubricated at least once a week.
Suited for this task is the oil Sterilit.
The flexible cable should be cleaned
and lubricated inside aproximatley
once a year. The frequency of
maintenance depends on the number
of times the flexible cables are
sterilized within a given period of time.
This maintenance work should be
performed only by authorized
specialists. For this work you can
contact us.

8 Maintenance
This chapter is only for people who made a
specail course in do maintenance on the device.
The surgery engine is free of Maintenance.

Before you do anything at the device plug it off from the
outlet.

12 Terms for the user
The Personal for use, service and installation
must have the special qualifications for this work.
If the personal don´t have this qualifications, they
must be instructed that they get the qualification.
Also must the operator check that his personal
understand the Operation manual.

13 Transport, Installation, Demounting
Only let the Transport, Installation, Demounting
do by qualified personal.
13.1 Positioning of the device

rooms on a robust underground. A ventilated
room is very important because the device

Connect the device only at an alternating current
outlet, wich have a protection with 16A.
The device is protecion groundet in the class
VDE 0730.
The Voltage declaration on the label must agree
exactly with the Voltage at the installation
location.
