CCTV test erPRO, and use properly.
For using the CCTV test erPRO safel y, please first rea d the「Safet y Inform ation」carefull y in the
manual.
The manual shoul d be kept wel l in case of reference.
Keep the S/N label for aft er-sal e service withi n warranty period. Product without S/N label will
be charged for repair servi ce.

Sa fe t y In fo r m a ti o n
Notice
The test er is intended to use in com pli ance with the local rul es of the el ectri cal
usage and avoi d to appl y at the places whi ch are inappli cabl e for the use of
el ectri cs such as hospit al, gas stati on et c.
To prevent the functi onal decl ine or failure, the product shoul d not be spri nkl ed
or dam ped.
The expos ed part of the test er shoul d not be touched by the dust and liquid.
During transportat ion and use, it is highl y recomm ended to avoi d the viol ent
colli sion and vibrati on of the test er, lest dam agi ng com ponent s and causi ng
failure.
Don’ t leave the test er alone whil e charging and rec hargi ng. If the batt ery is
found severely hot, the test er shoul d be powered off from the el ectri c source at
once. The test shoul d not be charged over 8 hours.
Don’ t use the test er where the humidit y is high. Once the test er is dam p, power
off immediat el y and move away other cabl es connect ed.
The test er shoul d not be use in the environm ent with the flam mabl e gas.
Do not disassembl y the instrum ent since no com ponent inside can be repaired
by the user. If the disassembl y is necess a ry indeed, please contact with the
techni ci an of our com pany.
The instrum ent shoul d not be used under the environm ent with strong
el ectromagneti c interference.
Don’ t touch the test er with wet hands or wat eris h things.
Don’ t use the det ergent to cl ean and the dry clot h is suggest ed to use. If the dirt
is not easy to remove, the soft clot h with wat er or neutral det ergent can be used. ,
but the clot h shoul d be twea ked suffi ciently.

In tr o d u ct io n
The CCTV test erPRO is devel oped for the On-Sit e inst all ation and maint enance of video
monitoring syst em.
It can be used for displ ayi ng video, controlling PTZ, generating images,
captu ring dat a of RS485 and testi ng LAN cable et c. Its functions, easy operation, and port ability
makes it simple for the CCTV techni ci an to inst all and maint ai n CCTV system, improving work
effi ci ency and get the labor cost down.

2.8"TFT-LCD , 960（H）×240（V）resolution .
PTZ control. Pan/tilts the P/T unit, zooms in/out the lens, adjus ts the focus, apert ure and sets
and call s the prese t positi on
Video displ ayi ng. Autom ati cally adapts and displays the video form at of NTSC/PAL.
LCD Brightness/ Contras t/Color Saturation are adj ust abl e.
Video Generating, The PAL/NTSC multi-s yst em col orbar video generator (seven-sys tem

Dat a analys t. Capt ures and analyzes RS485 controlling dat a to hel p the techni ci an to find out the
probl em.
Cabl e testi ng. It is powerful in testi ng LAN cable, measuring the connect ing status ，displ ayi ng
the sequence of connect ion and the NO. of the LAN cabl e.
Multi-i nt erface and Multi -baudrat e. Support RS232 ,RS485 and RS422 interface; baud rat e
rangi ng from 150, 600 to 19200bps.
Multi -protocol. Supports more than twent y PTZ prot ocol s. For exampl e, PELCO-P, PELCO-D,
SAMSUNG et c.
PTZ address scanning, search up the ID of PTZ camera.
Lithium Ion Polymer Batt er y (3.7V DC2000mAh). The devi ce employs advanced power control
and prot ect ion ci rcuit. The devi ce is high power-e ffi ci ent , energy savi ng and environm ent al
prot ecti on. It can last 11 hours for norm al use aft er charging for 4 hours.

Setup key : press it or press left or right key to ent er sub-menu to set the

parameters of functi ons.
Upward : Sel ect the item whi ch will be set or add the val ue of the

parameter. Tilt the PTZ upward.
Leftward : Ent er the sub-menu or sel ect the parameter whose val ue will be

changed. Reduce the val ue of the parameter. Pan the PTZ left.
Rightward : Ent er the sub-menu or sel ect the parameter whose val ue will

be changed. Add the val ue of the parameter. Pan the PTZ right.
Downward : Sel ect the item whi ch will be set or reduce the val ue of the

parameter. Tilt the PTZ downward.
Confirm/Open : Confirm the setti ng of parameters; open the ape rture .

Return/Cl ose : Return or cancel whil e setti ng parameters of the menu;

Ins ta l l i n g th e Ba t te r y
The test er has built -in lithium ion polym er rechargeabl e batt ery. The batt ery cable inside batt ery cabin
shoul d be disconnec ted for safety duri ng transport ation!
Prior to the use of the instrum ent, the batt ery cables inside the batt ery cabin shoul d be
well connect ed and the color of cables shoul d be at the same side.
Usual ly it need not to disconnect the cable at the norm al use, pressi ng
key
continuous ly can power on or off the test er.
At the first time of use, the batt eri es shoul d be compl et ely exhaust ed and then rec harged
for 4 or 5 hours.
The Charge Indi cator
lights red when charging the batt ery, The charge indicat or
turns off autom ati cally when the charging is com pleted.
△
Noti ce: When the Charge Indi cator
turns off, the batt ery is approxim at el y 90% charged.
The charging time can be ext ended for about 1 hour and the charging time within 8
hours will not dam age the batt ery.
△
The test er can work as usual whil e it is bei ng charged , however. But the charging time will be
ext ended.
Press the RESET key at the right of the instrument to rest ore the default settings
when the
instru ment works abnormal ly.

3. Operation
3 .1 Pow er on
Continuously press
(at leas t 2 seconds) to power on/off the CCTV test erPRO. When the CCTV
test erPRO is powered on，press MODE key the main-m enu will pop up.

Not e: When the CCTV test erPRO is powered on, it will ret urn to the function whi ch is bei ng operat ed
before it is turned off.
1. PTZ con troll er
Displ ay the input video images. Pan/tilt the P/T unit and zoom
in/ out the image. Setup the controlling parameters like prot ocol,
comm uni cation port, baud rate, PTZ ID, pan/til t speed ; set and
call prese t positi on.

Adjust the LCD brightness, Contras t, Color saturation.
3. Colorbar gen erator
Output or recei ve seven different forms of video col or bar to
test er monitor, cabl e or other equipm ent.
4. Cabl e tester
Test LAN cabl e or tel ephone cabl e.
The connect ing condition and the sequence of wires will be
displ ayed, as wel l as the seri al numbe r of the cabl e test er kit.
5. Data Moni tor
Capt ures the prot ocol from the controlling syst em and displ ay
comm and dat a. It is hel pful to debug and maint ai n RS485
comm uni cation.
6. Devi ce settin g

PTZ Controller
Displ ay the input video images. Pan/tilt the P/T unit and zoom in/ out the image. Setup the
controlling param et ers like protocol, comm uni cation port, baud rat e, PTZ ID, pan/ti lt speed ; set
and call prese t positi on.
The foll owi ng connecti ons shoul d be confi rm ed before use
a. The Video In interface of the CCTV test erPRO and the output interface of camera
b. Dat a A+ of the CCTV test erPRO and A+ of the PTZ camera or controlling devi ce, dat a B- of
the instru ment and B- of the PTZ camera or controlling device

Don ’t connect communicati ons interface with a circuit the voltage higher than 6V.

A. Protoco l:
Select the protocol according to the protocol of the PTZ camera. Up to 21
popul ar protocol s are avail abl e, like elco P, Pelco D, Samsung, Yaan, LiLin, CSR600 et c.
B. Port
Port:: Select the communi cation port for the PTZ camera controlling (RS232/ 422/ 485)
C. Baud: Select the baudrat e according to baudrat e of the PTZ camera.(150 , 300, … , 19200bps)
D. Address : Set the ID acco rding the ID of PTZ camera (0~254 ).
E . Pan Speed: Set the pan speed of PTZ camera (0~63)
F. T iltSpeed: Set the tilt speed of PTZ camera (0~63)
G. S et PS: Setup preset position (0~128)

from different manufacturers. Please rea d the operation manual of cont rol syst em manufact urer
for det ail s . The way of calling OSD provided for reference is calling preset -64.

Auto poweroff: Setting the time of aut o shut -down.( Disabl e,5,10, …,60)
Disabl e: Disabl e the “Auto poweroff” functi on. 5 means the CCTV will power off after
5 minut es when there is no any operation.
Keypad tone: Open or close the beep of pressi ng key pad.
Language: Sel ect languag e of OSD menu
Brigh tness: Setting the brightness of OSD menu and background.(0~7)
