VHF/UHF/SHF CONTEST LIVE SCORING board Publishing contest score in real time proves to be highly motivating to you and your competitors, it makes contesting even more fun. We believe that such a platform would further help in promoting contesting activity and communication within the EU VHF&up community. For a couple of years the SLOVHF web portal http://www.slovhf.net/index.php has had the capability of live contest scoring during VHF/UHF/SHF contests. Stations that would like to share their score during or after the end of the contest can publish their score on the web page http://www.slovhf.net/claimed.html automatically or manually. The basic requirement for being able to publish the score is registration on the SLOVHF web page (the registration form is located at the bottom left side of the web page). We suggest that you use your amateur call sign for your user name. After successfully registering and logging in, you can, among other things, publish your contest score on live scoring board/claimed score board during and after the contest. To manually publish your contest score you first need to log your call and score, after which you can update your entered score and comments (like ODX) at any time. Automatic publishing of contest scores is fancier; at the moment this can be done with two contest log software tools – VHFctest4Win (author S52AA) and N1MM or N1MM+ (author N1MM group). How can N1MM / N1MM+ be used for VHF contesting and live scoring on the SLOVHF.net live scoring board? We assume that you are familiar with N1MM/N1MM+ software, which is available at http://n1mm.hamdocs.com/tiki-index.php After installing the tool you need to select the correct log type for the VHF/UHF/SHF contest (for all regular “first weekend in the month” and IARU R1 VHF/UHF/SHF contests the correct type is VHFREG1). Next, you need to set the Score Reporting Server address in the Score Reporting Tab (http://n1mm.hamdocs.com/tikiindex.php?page=Configurer#Configurer_REAL_GT_Score_Reporting_Tab ) as shown in next picture. You should replace the highlighted login name with your SLOVHF login name, created when you registered. Finally, select Report Real-Time Score to Server (circled in red). N1MM+ is now configured and in a couple of minutes you should see your contest score published on the SLOVHF live score board. Using VHFCtest4Win for live scoring on SLOVHF.net live scoring board To enable live scoring function go to Tools->Options menu and choose Announcing tab, check publish to web (slovhf.net) checkbox and enter your slovhf.net username. This will enable PUBLISH button where you can manually push your current score to slovhf.net live scoring board. Auto publishes every (min) checkbox enables VHFCtest4Win to automatically publish your score to slovhf.net server every X min.
