SPARTAN 150 SA Read and understand the operator’s manual for safety information and operating instructions before attempting to operate this machine! Personal injury may result if the precautions are not read and followed. For all troubleshooting and maintenance issues, contact trained service personnel only! Uncrate Machine Remove the carton by removing the nails or staples holding it to the wooden frame and lift it straight up over the cutter. Remove the wooden uprights and cut the plastic tie-down straps. Locate Accessories Locate and set aside the accessories shipped with your machine: • Cutting stick puller • Jogging aid • Knife lifter assembly • Knife scabbard • T-Handled allen wrench • Operator’s manual Note: The knife and cutting stick are shipped installed in the machine and should remain in place. Lift Machine Into Position The Spartan SA weighs approximately 200 lbs (91kg). DO NOT risk personal injury by attempting to move machine with inadequate help. First clear the workspace where machine is to be placed, then with two or more people, carefully lift machine off the skid and into position. Attach to Optional Floor Stand If installing the machine on the optional floor stand, insert the four corners of the machine into the four uprights of the stand, keeping hands clear of the corners. Attach the machine to the stand using the screws provided with the stand. Connect Power Cord Connect the power cord into a grounded, 3-prong receptacle only! • Electrical specifications: 120 Volts, 60 Hz, 8 Amps • Service size: 15 Amps • Receptacle type: NEMA 5-15R Operation Your machine is now ready to operate and should require no further set-up.
