BOSE engineers have custom deigned the 350Z’s audio for the car’s unique acoustics. Available on the 350Z with GT Pack, the BOSE audio features the Audiopilot system that monitors noise inside the cabin and adapts the bass and treble accordingly. Seven speakers are strategically placed, including the 10" subwoofer behind the driver’s seat. Sounds good.</span> Navigation system and trip computer <p><span lang="EN-GB">Available as an option, the Navteq navigation system helps you get there faster with information like traffic jams and alternate routes. Aluminium components The lightweight components used in the 350Z enhance performance by increasing the power to weight ratio, contributing to nimble handling. The strong but light aluminium bonnet and suspension take kilos off the 350Z’s weight. 3 Exterior and Interior More style 18” RAYS Alloy wheels <span lang="EN-GB">Six-spoke 18” RAYS alloy wheels are standard. Each RAYS wheel is 4kg lighter than the standard wheels featured on 2005 models. The simple six-spoke styling adds more to the 350Z’s promise of high performance.</span> Stainless steel twin exhaust pipes The twin exhaust finishers signal the 350Z’s genuine sports car credentials. And this means pure; no turbos, no superchargers, no gimmicks. This award winning, normally aspirated, all-alloy double overhead cam, four valve per cylinder V6 engine provides powerful acceleration at any engine speed thanks to its flat torque characteristics. Factor in an intake system that improves volumetric efficiency, a state-of-the-art exhaust manifold and variable valve timing… and you’ve got an engine that delivers pure exhilaration.</span> 0-62mph in 5.9 seconds <span lang="EN-GB">Acceleration begins with calculated gulps of air. The large displacement engine manages this tremendous air intake to provide a wide torque range. Maximum 353 Nm is reached at just 4,800rpm. It also meets Euro IV standards for petrol cars, which calls for extremely low emissions of carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons and other pollutants. </span></p> HANDLING & BRAKING Perfect balance The ideal 53/47 front to rear weight distribution gives you superb control through corners. As you approach the turn, breaking hard, weight shifts to the front of the car. This means improved traction on the front wheels for turning in. As you exit the turn, weight shifts toward the rear, achieving an almost 50/50 balance and maximising traction for all four wheels when needed most. Long wheelbase You can see the sports car pedigree in the design. Like a formula one car, the 350Z is built around the wheels placed at the far corners. The centre of gravity is midway between the axles, by way of the engine being pushed back, the fuel tank forward, and the driver’s seat towards the middle. The result is a long wheelbase with weight centred for greater stability. Brembo brakes The Nissan 350Z stops as well as it goes, thanks to the brakes made by Brembo - world renowned in motorsport. Huge lightweight aluminium callipers use four pistons on the front wheels and two at the rear. High-friction brake pads and large diameter ventilated discs dissipate heat and resist fade - so you can always feel confident in the 350Z’s stopping power. 7 Performance Race car pedigree Braking system Three braking systems work together to help you stop quickly and safely. Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD) distributes maximum braking effort onto the wheels with most grip available. Nissan Brake Assist (NBA) helps you apply additional braking pressure in an emergency braking situation. The Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) prevents the wheels from locking under braking, keeping you in control of steering. Electronic Stability Program (ESP) During high speed cornering, ESP helps the 350Z stay on track. A range of electronic sensors monitor wheel speed and steering angle. The ESP limits engine revs and applies braking to individual wheels to correct under and over-steer. The ESP includes a Traction Control System (TCS), which reduces wheelspin under acceleration. Limited slip differential When you take a corner at high speed, the limited slip differential keeps the 350Z stable by directing more power to the rear wheel with the most grip. PASSIVE SAFETY All round airbags The 350Z has front, side and curtain airbags. That means the driver and passenger are well protected in any impact. Load limiters and pre-tensioners In the event of an accident, monitors measure the load on the seatbelt and stop it from over-tightening – this helps to prevent injuries caused by the seatbelt.
