 Do not charge the battery pack outdoors.
 Use only the charger supplied by the manufacturer to recharge.
 Do not leave blower unattended when the battery is inserted. Remove the
battery when the blower is not in use and before servicing.

 Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when
operating a power blower. Do not use the blower while tired, upset, or under
the influence of drugs, alcohol, or medication. A moment of inattention while
operating blowers may result in serious personal injury.
 Avoid accidental starting. Be sure that the switch is in the locked or off
position before inserting the battery pack. Carrying blowers with your finger
on the switch or inserting the battery pack into a blower with the switch on invites
accidents.
 Use safety equipment. Always wear eye protection. Dust mask, non-skid
safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection must be used for appropriate
conditions.
 Do not use on a ladder, rooftop, tree, or other unstable support. Stable footing
on a solid surface enables better control of the blower in unexpected situations.
 Always take care of your feet, children, or pets around you when removing the
battery pack from blower. Serious injury could result if the battery pack falls.
NEVER remove the battery pack when in a high position.
 Do not use the blower if switch does not turn it on or off. A blower that cannot
be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
 Disconnect the battery pack from the blower before making any
adjustments, changing accessories, or storing the blower. Such preventive
safety measures reduce the risk of starting the blower accidentally.
 Turn off all controls before removing the battery.

 DO NOT attempt to clear clogs from the unit without first removing the battery.
 Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts, and
any other condition that may affect the blower’s operation. If damaged,
have the blower serviced before using. Many accidents are caused by poorly
maintained blowers.
 Keep the blower and its handle dry, clean and free from oil and grease.
Always use a clean cloth when cleaning. Never use brake fluids, gasoline,
petroleum-based products, or any strong solvents to clean your blower. Following
this rule will reduce the risk of loss of control and deterioration of the enclosure
plastic.
 Always wear safety glasses with side shields. Everyday glasses have only
impact resistant lenses. They are NOT safety glasses. Following this rule will
reduce the risk of eye injury.
 Always wear eye protection with side shields marked to comply with ANSI
Z87.1 along with hearing protec­tion when operating this equipment.
 Keep firm footing and balance. Do not overreach. Overreaching can result in
loss of balance.
 Check the work area before each use. Remove all objects such as rocks,
broken glass, nails, wire, or string which can be thrown by or become entangled
in the machine.
 Do not point the blower tube in the direction of people or pets.
 Never run the unit without the proper equipment attached. Always ensure that
the blower tube is installed.
 When not in use, the blower should be stored indoors in a dry, secure place
out of the reach of children.
 Keep all bystanders, children, and pets at least 50 ft. away.
 Blower service must be performed only by qualified repair personnel. Service
or maintenance performed by unqualified personnel may result in a risk of injury.
 Protect your lungs. Wear a face or dust mask if the operation is dusty.
Following this rule will reduce the risk of serious personal injury.
 When servicing a blower, use only identical replacement parts. Follow
instructions in the Maintenance section of this manual. Use of unauthorized parts
or failure to follow Maintenance Instructions may create a risk of shock or injury.
 Protect your hearing. Wear hearing protection during extended periods of
operation. Following this rule will reduce the risk of serious personal injury.
 Never use the blower near fires or hot ashes. Use near fires or ashes can
spread fires and result in serious injury and/or property damage.
 Battery powered blowers do not have to be plugged into an electrical outlet;
therefore, they are always in operating condition. Be aware of possible
hazards when not using your battery powered blower or when changing
accessories. Following this rule will reduce the risk of electric shock, fire, or
serious personal injury.
 Never use blower to spread chemicals, fertilizers, or any other toxic
substances. Spreading these substances could result in serious injury to the
operator or bystanders.
 Wear heavy long pants, long sleeves, boots, and gloves. Avoid loose garments
or jewelry that could get caught in moving parts of the machine or its motor.
 Do not operate the equipment while barefoot or when wearing sandals or
similar lightweight footwear. Wear protective footwear that will protect your feet
and improve your footing on slippery surfaces.
 Batteries can explode in the presence of a source of ignition, such as a
pilot light. To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, never use any cordless
product in the presence of open flame. An exploded battery can propel debris and
chemicals. If exposed, flush with water immediately.

 Never place the blower on any surface, except a hard, clean surface when
the engine is running. Gravel, sand, and other debris can be picked up by the air
inlet and thrown at the operator or bystanders, causing possible serious injuries.
 Save these instructions. Refer to them frequently and use them to instruct
others who may use this tool. If you loan this tool to someone else, also loan these
instructions to them to prevent misuse of the product and possible injury.

ASSEMBLING THE BLOWER TUBE

OPERATION

Remember that a careless fraction of a second is sufficient to inflict serious injury.
WARNING: Always wear eye protection with side shields marked to comply with
ANSI Z87.1, along with hearing protection. Failure to do so could result in objects being
thrown into your eyes and other possible serious injuries.
WARNING: Do not use any attachments or accessories not recommended by the
manufacturer of this product. The use of attachments or accessories not recommended
can result in serious personal injury.
Before each use, inspect the entire product for damaged, missing, or loose parts, such
as screws, nuts, bolts, caps,etc. Tighten securely all fasteners and caps and do not
operate this product until all missing or damaged parts are replaced.
APPLICATION
You may use this product for the purposes listed below:
TO INSTALL/REMOVE BATTERY PACK (Fig. 5)
Charge before first use.
WARNING: Always remove battery pack from the product when you are
assembling parts, making adjustments, cleaning, or when not in use. Removing battery
pack will prevent accidental starting that could cause serious personal injury.
To install
 Align the ribs of the battery pack with the mounting slots in the blower’s battery
port.
 Press the battery pack down until it snaps into position.
To remove
WARNING: Always take care of your feet, children, or pets around you when
pressing the battery release button. Serious injury could result if the battery pack falls.
NEVER remove the battery pack when in a high location.
 Clearing hard surfaces such as driveways and walkways
 Press the battery-release button; the battery pack will disengage from the latch
and the ejection mechanism will assist with removal.
 Keeping decks and driveways free from leaves and pine needles
 Remove the battery pack from the blower.

STARTING/STOPPING THE BLOWER (Fig. 6)
OPERATING THE BLOWER
 To start the blower, press down on the lock-off lever and hold it, then depress the
trigger. The blower will begin to run.
 To keep from scattering debris, blow around the outer edges of a debris pile.
Never blow directly into the center of a pile.
 To stop the blower, release the trigger.
 To reduce sound levels, limit the number of pieces of equipment used at any one
time.
ADJUSTING THE AIR VELOCITY (Fig. 6)

Air Velocity Adjusting Knob
 Use rakes and brooms to loosen debris before blowing. In dusty conditions,
slightly dampen surfaces when water is available.

 Conserve water by using power blowers instead of hoses for many lawn and
garden applications, including areas such as gutters, screens, patios, grills,
porches, and gardens.
 Watch out for children, pets, open windows, or freshly washed cars, and blow
debris safely away.
 After using blowers or other equipment, clean up! Dispose of debris properly.
Trigger
The blower is equipped with stepless speed regulation to control air speed.
To increase the air velocity, turn the air velocity adjusting knob clockwise when the
blower runs; to reduce the air velocity, turn the knob counterclockwise.
To enhance the air velocity, press the boost button to temporarily amplify the air speed
to the maximum.The blower will resume the previous speed when this button is
released.

MAINTENANCE
WARNING: When servicing, use only identical replacement parts. Use of any
other parts may create a hazard or cause product damage. To ensure safety and
reliability, all repairs should be performed by a qualified service technician.
TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM
WARNING: To avoid serious personal injury, always remove the battery pack
from the product when cleaning or performing any maintenance.
GENERAL MAINTENANCE
Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most plastics are susceptible to
damage from various types of commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use.
Use clean cloths to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc.
Blower doesn’t work.
WARNING: Do not at any time let brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum-based
products, penetrating oils, etc., come in contact with plastic parts. Chemicals can
damage, weaken or destroy plastic which may result in serious personal injury.

EGO WARRANTY POLICY
5 year limited warranty on EGO outdoor power equipment and 3 year limited warranty
on EGO Power+ System battery packs and chargers.
Please contact EGO Customer Service Toll-Free at 1-855-EGO-5656 any time you
have questions or warranty claims.
LIMITED SERVICE WARRANTY
FOR FIVE YEARS from the date of original retail purchase, this EGO product is warranted
against defects in material or workmanship. Defective product will receive free repair.
FOR THREE YEARS from the date of original retail purchase, the EGO Power+ System
battery pack and charger are warranted against defects in material or workmanship.
Defective product will receive free repair.
This warranty does not cover routine maintenance parts and consumables that can
wear out from normal use within the warranty period.
 This warranty applies only to the original purchaser at retail and may not be
transferred.
 The warranty period for any EGO product or part used for industrial, professional
or commercial purpose is one year.
 This warranty is void if the product has been used for rental purpose.
HOW TO OBTAIN SERVICE
For warranty service, please contact EGO customer service toll-free at
1‑855‑EGO‑5656. When requesting warranty service, you must present the original
dated sales receipt. An authorized service center will be selected to repair the product
according to the stated warranty terms.
ADDITIONAL LIMITATIONS
To the extent permitted by applicable law, all implied warranties, including warranties
of MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, are disclaimed. Any
implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular
purpose, that cannot be disclaimed under state law are limited to five years from the
date of purchase for outdoor power equipment and three years from date of purchase
for battery pack and charger.

damages.
Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts and/or do
not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the

usar mascarillas antipolvo, zapatos de seguridad antideslizantes, cascos duros

 No use en una escalera, tejado, árbol u otro soporte inestable. Un punto de

en situaciones inesperadas.

esté en una posición alta.
 No use el soplador si el interruptor no se enciende ni apaga. Un soplador
que no se puede controlar con el interruptor es peligroso y se debe reparar.
 Desconecte el paquete de baterías del soplador antes de realizar ajustes,
cambiar accesorios o almacenar el soplador. Estas medidas preventivas
de seguridad reducen el riesgo de arrancar accidentalmente el soplador.
 Apague los controles antes de retirar la batería.

 NO intente limpiar las obstrucciones de la unidad sin primero retirar la batería.
 Compruebe que no haya desalineaciones ni obstáculos para las piezas
móviles, que las piezas no estén rotas ni en ninguna otra condición que pueda
afectar el funcionamiento del soplador. Si tiene daños, lleve el soplador para
su mantenimiento antes de usarlo. Muchos accidentes se producen debido a
sopladores con mantenimiento deficiente.
 Mantenga el soplador y su manija secos, limpios y libres de aceite y grasa.
Use siempre un paño limpio para limpiarlo. Nunca use líquido de frenos, gasolina,
productos a base de petróleo ni ningún solvente fuerte para limpiar el soplador.
Seguir esta regla reducirá el riesgo de pérdida de control y deterioro del plástico
del compartimiento.
 Use siempre anteojos de seguridad con protección lateral. Los anteojos de uso
diario solo cuentan con protección contra impactos. NO son anteojos de seguridad.
Si sigue esta regla, reducirá el riesgo de lesiones oculares.
 Siempre use protección ocular con protección lateral que cumpla con la
norma ANSI Z87.1, junto con protección auditiva al operar este equipo.
 Proteja sus pulmones. Use una máscara o mascarilla antipolvo si el
funcionamiento produce polvo. Si sigue esta regla, reducirá el riesgo de lesiones
personales graves.
 Proteja su audición. Use protección auditiva durante períodos prolongados de
funcionamiento. Si sigue esta regla, reducirá el riesgo de lesiones personales graves.
 Los sopladores a batería no necesitan estar conectados a un enchufe; por
lo tanto, siempre se encuentran en condiciones de funcionar. Conozca los
posibles peligros que existen cuando su soplador a baterías no está en
uso o cuando cambia los accesorios. Si sigue esta regla, reducirá el riesgo
de descargas eléctricas, incendio o lesiones personales graves.
 Use pantalones largos, mangas largas, botas y guantes gruesos. Evite el
vestuario holgado o joyas que pudiesen quedar atrapados en las piezas móviles
de la máquina o su motor.
 No opere el equipo descalzo o cuando use sandalias o calzado ligero similar.
Use calzado de protección que protegerá sus pies y mejorará su apoyo sobre
superficies resbaladizas.
 Las baterías pueden explotar en presencia de una fuente de ignición, como
una llama piloto. Para reducir el riesgo de lesiones personales graves, no use
nunca ningún producto a batería en presencia de una llama expuesta. Una batería
explotada puede liberar residuos y químicos. Si se ve expuesto a lo anterior,
enjuáguese con agua inmediatamente.

 Mantenga un punto de apoyo y equilibrio firmes. No se extienda demasiado,
ya que podría perder el equilibrio.
 Revise el área de trabajo antes de cada uso. Retire todos los objetos como rocas,
vidrios rotos, clavos, alambres o cordeles que puedan ser arrojados por la máquina
o quedar atrapados en ella.
 No apunte el tubo del soplador en la dirección de las personas o de las
mascotas.

ENSAMBLAJE DEL TUBO DEL SOPLADOR
ADVERTENCIA: Para evitar el arranque accidental, el que podría provocar
lesiones personales graves, retire siempre el paquete de baterías de la herramienta
antes de ensamblar las piezas.

FUNCIONAMIENTO
PARA INSTALAR/RETIRAR EL PAQUETE DE BATERÍAS (Fig. 5)
Cargue antes del primero uso
ADVERTENCIA: No permita que el conocimiento de este producto lo vuelva
imprudente. Recuerde que un descuido de una fracción de segundo es suficiente
para ocasionar lesiones graves.
ADVERTENCIA: Siempre retire el paquete de baterías del producto cuando
ensamble piezas, realice ajustes, limpie o no esté en uso. De esta manera, evitará el
arranque accidental, el que podría provocar lesiones personales graves.
ADVERTENCIA: Siempre use protección ocular con protección lateral que
cumpla con la norma ANSI Z87.1, junto con protección auditiva. De lo contrario, podría
provocar que se disparen objetos hacia sus ojos y otras posibles lesiones graves.
Para instalar
ADVERTENCIA: No use ningún aditamento o accesorio no recomendado por el
fabricante de este producto, ya que esto podría provocar lesiones personales graves.
 Presione el paquete de baterías hasta que calce a presión en su posición.
Antes de cada uso, inspeccione todo el producto en busca de piezas dañadas, faltantes
o sueltas, como tornillos, tuercas, pernos, tapas, etc. Apriete bien todos los sujetadores
y tapas, y no opere este producto hasta que se hayan reemplazado todas las piezas
faltantes o dañadas.
 Alinee las aletas del paquete de baterías con las ranuras de montaje en el puerto
de la batería del soplador.
Para retirar
ADVERTENCIA: Siempre tenga cuidado con sus pies, los niños o las mascotas
cuando presione el botón de liberación de la batería. Se podrían provocar lesiones

FUNCIONAMIENTO DEL SOPLADOR
 Para arrancar el soplador, mantenga presionado la palanca del bloqueo y luego
presione el gatillo. El soplador comenzará a funcionar.
 Para evitar dispersar los desechos, sople alrededor de los bordes exteriores
de una pila de desechos. Nunca sople directamente al centro de una pila.
 Para detener el soplador, suelte el gatillo.
 Para reducir los niveles de ruido, limite el número de equipos que usa
simultáneamente.

lavados y sople los desechos lejos de estos.
 Después de usar el soplador u otro equipo, limpie. Elimine los desechos de
manera adecuada.
Gatillo
El soplador cuenta con una regulación de velocidad continua para controlar la velocidad
del aire.
Para aumentar la velocidad del aire, gire la perilla de ajuste de velocidad del aire en
dirección de las manecillas del reloj cuando el soplador esté en funcionamiento; para
reducir la velocidad del aire, gírela en dirección contraria a las manecillas del reloj.
Para mejorar la velocidad del aire, presione el botón boost para amplificar la velocidad
temporalmente al máximo. El soplador volverá la velocidad anterior al soltar este botón.

PROBLEMA

MANTENIMIENTO GENERAL
Evite el uso de solventes para limpiar las piezas de plástico. La mayoría de los plásticos
son susceptibles a diferentes tipos de solventes comerciales y pueden resultar dañados
por el uso de dichos solventes. Utilice paños limpios para eliminar la suciedad, el polvo,
el aceite, la grasa, etc.
