Starting The OH-Network Software Receiver for SP
To start the OH-Network Software Receiver, click Start and then select Programs, GE
Interlogix, and OHReceiverSP.
When the OH Network Software Receiver is started, it checks for a valid license. If a license
exists, it starts normally and enables the WEB interface. If no license exists, the OH Network
Software Receiver starts the License Manager window, shown below, is opened.
If the License Manager window is closed, the OH Network Software Receiver will terminate.
The License Manager window is used to enter a License Code, which fully activates the OH
Network Software Receiver. To license the OH Network Software Receiver, you need to
contact customer support and give them your machine code. A new License Code will be
generated which you must put in the License Code area and then click “Validate and Save”.
Once a License Code is validated you should restart the OH Network Software Receiver.

A typical system installation may include the following:
• Secure Perfect 5.0 or later
• SP API License
• OH Network Software Receiver for SP
• NX-8E w/ NX590E module
• DL900 Configuration/Download Software (free software that can be installed on any
Windows workstation)
Alarms and arm/disarm (open/close) events are sent over the network using TCP/IP protocol
to the OH Network Software Receiver for SP and on to SP using the API. All events sent
from the NX-panel to the OH Network Software Receiver for SP are Triple-DES encrypted.
The Triple-DES encryption used is NIST certified (Certificate No. 206) and can viewed on
NIST official WEB site, http://csrc.nist.gov/cryptval/des/tripledesval.html. DL900 is free
software available on our WEB site, http://www.geindustrial.com/ge-interlogix/index.html. A
CD can also be requested. DL900 can be used to configure all aspect of the NX-panel,
add/remove user code, and arm/disarm the panel. All these function are done over the network
using TCP/IP protocol. All communication between the NX-panel and the DL900 are TripleDES encrypted. The Triple-DES encryption used is NIST certified (Certificate No. 206) and
can viewed on NIST official WEB site, http://csrc.nist.gov/cryptval/des/tripledesval.html.

OH Network Software Receiver Web Interface
To access the OH Network Software Receiver Web Interface home page, start Microsoft
Internet Explorer. If your are running Explorer on the same PC as the OH Network Software
Receiver, on the Address line at the top type http://localhost and press the RETURN key. If
you are on a different PC, type http://IP Address Of OH Network Receiver (i.e.
http://3.18.146.106) and press the RETURN key. The home page will display as shown
below.

Home
The Home link will always return to the home page.
Login
The Login link is used to login, which will permit configuration of the OH Network Software
Receiver. Clicking on Login displays the login page below.
To login, enter the User Name “root” and Password “ge-interlogix” then click Submit. If the
User Name and/or Password are incorrect, the message Invalid User Name/Password will
appear and the User Name and Password must be re-entered. If it is correct, the home page is
displayed. The Login link is changed to Setup, as shown in the following web pages, and the
configuration parameters can be accessed. If you do not interact with the Web Interface for
approximately 10 minutes, you will be required to login again.

The About link will display a page of information about the OH Network Software Receiver
as shown below.

Configuring The OH Network Software Receiver
Setup
Clicking on the Setup link opens the setup page shown below.
Note that all of the configuration pages, which can be selected from the setup page, have three
buttons used to save new values (Save), reload the currently saved values (Current), or to load
the default settings (Defaults).

Network Settings
The Network Settings link opens the network configuration page below.
The Port field is used to define the port alarm panels connect to when reporting alarms,
polling the OH Network Receiver, etc. The Port should always be set to 9999.

Line Cut Settings
The Line Cut Settings link opens the Line Cut Timeout page, below, which defines the
timeout period used to detect a broken connection to a polling alarm panel.
This value must be determined by the polling time programmed into the alarm panels, which
report to the OH Network Receiver. It must be greater than the alarm panel-reporting interval.
Two to three times the reporting interval should be sufficient.

SP Connection Settings
The SP Connection Settings link opens the Secure Perfect configuration page below.
The User Name and Password fields are the user name and password defined in the Secure
Perfect Administration/API Connections menu. This user name and password enable the OH
Network Software Receiver to connect to Secure Perfect.

Logout
The Logout link logs the user off and opens the home page below.

Active Panels
The Active Panels link opens a new window that shows a list of all panels that have sent a
Network Alive Heartbeat to the OH Network Software Receiver for SP. The receiver uses the
Line Cut Timeout value to determine if field panels have reliable and working network
connection to the receiver. A LT079 event is generated by the receiver when a panel stops
sending the Network Alive Heartbeat. The receiver generates a LR079 event when a panel
resumes sending the Network Alive Heartbeat.

Events
The Events link opens a new window that shows latest 1000 events.

Exit
The Exit link Allows to terminate the ‘OHReceiverSP.exe’ process and the
‘OhstandaloneWeb’ process totally exists the receiver.

Event Format in Secure Perfect Alarm Monitor
After an event is received into Secure Perfect, an alarm record is created. The Description
field then could be change in that alarm record to provide the operator for user-friendly
description of the alarm.
