In ord er to work p rop er ly, H ardw are Sen tr y K M fo r PA TROL n eed s cer tain h ardw are
infor mation sour ces to b e av ailable. D ep end ing on the p latfor m, Hardware Sen tr y KM for
PA TROL w ill r e ly on vendor-sp ecif ic agen ts and /or on stand ard ma n ag e me n t te chno log y such

r eboo t is eith er tr iggered b y th e op erating system o r b y th e mo therbo ard itself. If a processor
is no longer work ing, it is au to ma tically d isabl ed b y th e BIOS and, if there is on e pro c essor
le f t, th e op er a ting s ys tem s ta r ts w ith on e pro c es sor le ss .
