U npack the scale and rem ove the pieces ofshock protector inserted
betw een the platform and the scale.
U sing the scale w ith a battery
R em ove the battery com partm entcover underneath the scale.Inserta
9V alkaline battery and connectto the battery snap. R eplace the battery
com partm entcover.
U sing the scale w ith the pow er adapter
C onnectthe supplied pow er adapter to the inputsocketatthe rear ofthe
scale and plug itinto the pow er supply.Itis advisable to rem ove the
battery w hen using the pow er adapter.
B e sure that the scale is operated on a flat surface
In order to operate correctly,the scale m ustbe installed on a firm ,flat
surface.Itis advisable to turn the scale on 1 to 2 m inutes prior to use.

Error M essages
The w eightcapacity ofthe scale has been exceeded.
W hen the battery voltage is less than 7V,LO appears in
the LC D atthe scale’s startup – replace battery or use AC adapter.
M ake sure to rem ove exhausted battery as old batteries leak.
