Pairing Your Headset With A Bluetooth Phone Structure Sketch SBN40 Bluetooth Stereo Headset 5 1 +/ 4 3 2 / The SBN40 is able to be used with any Bluetooth enabled device. It allows users to make phone calls and stream music via Bluetooth connection. Please read this user manual carefully before using the headset, and also read your device’s user manual regarding the Bluetooth function. Pay close attention to the important safety and maintenance information. Please fully charge the headset’s battery before using it for the first time. 2. Approximately 2 hours are required to fully charge the headset. 3. The indicator light turns red while being charged, and will turn off automatically after being fully charged. Note 2: Do not attempt to force open the built-in battery as this could damage the headset. Note 3: If left unused, a fully charged headset will lose its power automatically. It is recommended to charge the headset each three months. Note 4: Do not leave the headset in a too hot or too cold condition (best between -10℃ and 50℃) which may affect the headset's operations although it is fully charged. Note 5: Do not dispose of the headset into a fire or water. Note 1: When the mobile phone’s Bluetooth version below 2.1, you need to enter pairing code “0000”; Note 2: When the mobile phone’s Bluetooth version 2.1 or exceed 2.1, you don’t need to enter the pairing code. Answering A Call When a call is coming in, you will hear the incoming call numbers, you can then answer it with the ways below: Method 1: Press MFB once. Method 2: Answer the call with your phone. Ending A Call You can end the call with the ways below: Method 1: Press MFB once. Method 2: End the call with your phone. Rejecting A Call Turning On The Headset In OFF MODE, press and hold MFB for 3 seconds, until you hear “Power on”, the indicator light turns blue for 1 second, then the headset will enter into ON MODE. Turning Off The Headset *The time mentioned as above may vary due to user's operation mode and device settings. 1. Ensure the headset is off, and the distance between your headset and phone is within 1 meter to activate the Bluetooth function on the phone. 2. Press and hold MFB until the indicator light flashes blue and red alternately, you will hear a short beep as it enters PAIRING MODE. 3. Search Bluetooth devices (see the user guide of your phone for instructions). 4. Select headset “SBN40” from the found devices list in the phone’s Bluetooth menu. 5. After waiting for a few seconds, you will hear a short beep (If the pairing cannot be completed within 5 minutes after the PAIRING MODE has been activated, the headset will enter into the STANDBY MODE. Please repeat above steps to do the pairing again). 6. Ensure the distance between your headset and phone is within effective distance, so you can use the headset freely. 7. When the headset is off, it will connect the paired phone automatically if you turn on the headset again within operation range. In ON MODE (except call mode), press and hold MFB for 3 seconds, until you hear “Power off”, the indicator light turns red for 1 second, then the headset will enter into OFF MODE. Press and hold MFB for 2 seconds to reject the call. Adjusting The Volume In call or playing music state, shortly press + or - once to adjust the volume. Last Number Redialing ・ Press MFB twice, the headset will automatically redial the phone’s last dial out number. Playing Music With The SBN40 Forward/Backward Press and hold “-” or “+” for 2 seconds to go back to the last song or go forward to the next song. Note:For the differences of Phones, it can’t guarantee all the mobile phones could achieve backward function, it may turn back to the beginning of the song. Playing/Pause When playing music, shortly press MFB once, and music will pause. Maintenance 1. Do not use abrasive cleaning solvents to clean the headset. 2. Do not allow the headset to touch any sharp objects as this will cause scratching and damage. 3. Please keep headset away from high-temperature, humidity and dust. Additional Statements ・ The headset is compliant with the specified bluetooth version. It does not guarantee compatibility of all functions on every bluetooth enabled device. Please check your device’s user manual for compatibility and functionality. ・ The headset will beep when it operates successfully but this may be too low to hear. ・ Manufacturer reserves the right of final explanation of all the above statements.
