Medpage nocturnal epileptic seizure detecting monitors are designed to detect seizure
typical movement from a sleeping person. This is achieved using a sensor positioned under
the persons bed mattress. Depending on the type of bed, mattress, and the size and weight
of the person, Medpage monitors can be adjusted quite easily to successfully detect most
convulsive seizures, including cluster and tremor types. Each monitor model has a means of
adjusting the sensitivity of the sensor to compensate for the variables detailed above and
include a microphone to detect vocalisations preceding or during a seizure. All models also
have an adjustable delay control to allow a period of non-seizure movement with no alarm.
Turning over or adjusting sleeping position as examples.

The Medpage Model MP5V2 epileptic seizure movement
detector is designed to detect a variety of seizure types from
all ages, including tremor, Tonic phase and seizures that cause
limb twitching movements. The high performance sensor and
control software positively identifies seizure movement from
a sleeping person, ignoring usual sleeping movements. A
verified ongoing seizure results in an alarm transmission
to the carer pagers with a working range of 100M (2
supplied). The sensor (300mm x 200mm x 10mm) has
a sensitivity control to allow adjustment for patient
body weight and bed/cot mattress type. A permissible
movement alarm delay also has a control dial allowing
adjustment from 2 – 30 seconds. This setting allows a person to
turn over, or reposition themselves without an alarm generated.
Settings are digitally stored to prevent tampering or accidental adjustment.

NANNY (BM-02) APNOEA MONITOR - CESSATION OF BREATHING ALARM
The Nanny BM-02 is designed to monitor the breathing movements of sleeping children.
A sensor sheet measuring 550mm x 350mm x 15mm is positioned
under the mattress. The sensor is connected to a monitor that
analyses the tiny chest movements created by breathing.
If less than 8 breaths per minute are recorded the
alarm will sound. Additionally, if breathing
movements are not detected for a
period exceeding 20 seconds, the
alarm will sound. When the
alarm is activated it must
be reset at the monitor to
acknowledge the alarm.
The Nanny BM-02 has LED’s

The sensor is enclosed in a
washable vinyl pocket where normal
strength disinfectant may be used
should the sensor become soiled. The

daisychained with additional repeaters to further increase
