Using ESP
Time Manager
Enabling Time Manager allows you to synchronize the MS-Connect 5100’s clock with the
network and with other Microscan products.
To access time management settings, click on Time Manager in the Communications
tree control.
Once you have enabled time management,
you must download the correct time zone to
the MS-Connect 5100’s using Link > Send
Time in ESP’s menu toolbar.
Enabling SNTP (Simple
Network Time Protocol)
for Time Server allows
other Microscan products
to sync their clocks to the
MS-Connect 5100’s clock.
Enabling SNTP for Time Client
syncs the MS-Connect 5100’s
clock to another Microscan
product’s clock or another
SNTP time source, such as the
time server on your network.
Enabling Linked
DST syncs the
MS-Connect
5100’s Daylight
Savings Time
setting to the one
on the server.
SNTP Mode determines how the SNTP client
should be configured.
Enter the IP address of the SNTP server to be
contacted in the SNTP Server field.
