Connect the lip hook as indicated in the paragraph Connection page 2.
Then connect the file clip to the arm of the cable identified with a white collar
and the manual handfile to the file clip.
Place the lip hook on the patient’s lip.
In apex locator mode (MANUAL PROG 00), you can also run the contra-angle at
the same time. Motor start has to be done manually by pressing the RUN button.
ENDOAce® automatically starts at the entrance of the canal when the tip of the instrument makes contact with
the dentin (except MANUAL PROG 00). For a manual start, press the RUN/STOP button. In each case, the
motor stops as soon as the contact between the instrument and the canal is lost.
In case a problem occurs, briefly press on the REV button (REVERSE) located under the display of
the control unit or on the RUN/STOP in order to stop the motor. If the instrument is stuck, a second press
on the REV button allows the motor to run in reverse.
At 2 mm from the apex, ENDOAce® will start beeping in a changing rate. The nearer the file gets to the preset
working length, the higher the beep rate becomes.

Switch off
ENDOAce® will automatically shutdown after 15 minutes when not in use or by pressing the
ESC button for 3 seconds.

Troubleshooting
The contra-angle does not start:
Check that the
motor cable
is properly
and deeply
connected to
the control unit.
Check that
the lip hook is
properly fitted
to the patient’s
lip.
Check that the
connection of
the apex locator
cable to the
control unit is
correct.
Check that
the lip hook is
connected to
the arm without
white collar.
Check that the
contra-angle is
correctly fixed
on the motor
(the black laser
marking at the
back of the
contra-angle
should
disappear).
Check that
the file has a
metallic shaft
and not a
plastic one.
Check that
the canal
is properly
irrigated:
- If canal is too
dry, irrigate it.
- If canal is
too flooded,
dry it.
Alternatively,
start the motor
manually by
pressing the
RUN button.
The apical distance indicator alternately displays O.A (Over Apex) and E (Error) and the control
unit beeps during 1.5 sec. The contra-angle is still rotating:
The pulp chamber is flooded. Remove excess irrigant.
You can continue to use ENDOAce® but in that case, the apical distance control function is deactivated.
The control unit turns off during motor operation (excessive torque):
Switch on the control unit again. Control the battery level indicator.
If the battery is low, recharge batteries. Plug the adaptor on the main and continue your procedure.
