SET MODE 9 ■ Miscellaneous (others) set mode (continued) FM SPLIT Offset (HF) This item sets the offset (difference between transmit and receive frequencies) for the quick split function. However, this setting is used for HF bands in FM mode only and is used to input the repeater offset for an HF band. -0.100MHz -4.000MHz Minus 0.1 MHz offset (default) Minus 4.0 MHz offset -1.000MHz +4.000MHz Minus 1.0 MHz offset (default) Plus 4.0 MHz offset ON OFF Split lock function ON Split lock function OFF (default) ON OFF Automatic tuner start ON Automatic tuner start OFF (default) ON OFF Automatic PTT start ON Automatic PTT start OFF (default) The offset frequency can be set from –4 MHz to +4 MHz in 1 kHz steps. FM SPLIT Offset (50M) This item sets the offset (difference between transmit and receive frequencies) for the quick split function. However, this setting is used for 50 MHz band FM mode only, and is used to input the repeater offset for the 50 MHz band. The offset frequency can be set from –4 MHz to +4 MHz in 1 kHz steps. SPLIT Lock When this item is ON, the tuning dial can be used to adjust the transmit frequency while pushing [XFC] even while the lock function is activated. See p. 32 for split frequency operation details. Tuner (Auto Start) The internal antenna tuner has an automatic start capability which starts tuning if the SWR is higher than 1.5–3. When “OFF” is selected, the tuner remains OFF even when the SWR is poor (1.5–3). When “ON” is selected, automatic tune starts even when the tuner is turned OFF. Tuner (PTT Start) Tuning of the internal antenna tuner can be started automatically at the moment the PTT is pushed after the operating frequency is changed (more than 1% from last-tuned frequency). 69
