TM TruBlue User Manual ™ 4.connections and field installation two types of field cable There are two types of cable that may be used in deploying your TruBlue ™ water level data logger— the interface cable assembly or the suspension wire assembly. Which you choose will depend on the water level data logger’s pressure format (vented or absolute) and communications needs. THE INTERFACE CABLE I N T E R FA C E C A B L E A S S E M B LY 8 5 3 - X X X X X A S S E M B LY ( 8 5 3 - X X X X X ) includes power and communications conductors as well as a reference pressure vent tube. Cables are available in configurable lengths from 5-999 feet. It should be used with all vented TruBlue ™ water level data loggers. It can also be used with absolute transducers in order to provide the ability to communicate with the transducer without extracting it from its measurement location. THE SUSPENSION WIRE S U S P E N S I O N W I R E A S S E M B LY 8 5 2 - X X X X X (852-XXXXX) is a low-cost suspension solution intended for use only with absolute transducers. Wire is available in configurable lengths from 0-999 feet. Since there is is no vent tube or desiccant filter, maintenance is minimal. On the other hand, the fact that there are no communications conductors in the cable means that, in order to communicate with the level data logger, it will need to be removed from its measurement location.
