Place a 12x12 paper on the cutting mat.
5 Insert a 12x12 paper (on mat) into the Creative Cutter. Make sure that the arrow on the left
pinch roller is lined up under the left arrow sticker on the cutter.
TIP: You usually do not need to adjust the left roller. Move the paper under the roller to the
proper position.
TIP: The right roller can be adjusted to anyplace within the area represented by the yellow and
black stripe. This allows for different size papers.
The Blade Carriage can be pushed
out of the way. Just slide it all the
way to the right.

Verify that the front edge of the mat is aligned with the front of the green cutting strip.
7 Once the paper is positioned properly, turn the black wheel located on the right side of the
cutter towards you. This lowers the rollers so they can hold the mat as it moves.
8 Turn the Creative Cutter on, using the rocker switch on the left side of the machine. Wait
for the machine to initialize. The machine is ready when you see the screen shown in figure 76.
9 Press F4 (next to the word SCRAP). The machine then measures the paper by moving
across and back again.

10 The next screen should look like figure 77. If Cut 1 is in the upper-left corner of the
window, press the F1 button until you see CUT 4.
