LOCTITE® High Intensity Ultraviolet Sources Item Numbers: 980160 The LOCTITE® High Intensity Ultraviolet Sources are designed for a wide range of applications using ultraviolet curing adhesives and coatings. With the proper shielding, cooling and venting (not included with this product), this light source can be integrated into both prototype and production applications. This unit is designed specifically for the users who want to integrate their own shielding, cooling, venting and mounting systems into a production line. 99 Features: • Contains a 5 in., 300 watts/inch medium-pressure mercury vapor bulb – Item Number 980161. • Variable bulb wattage: 200 or 300 watts/in. • Typical curing area of 4.5 in. x 6 in. • Expected UV bulb life of 1,000 hours with proper handling and maintenance. Theory of Operation To assemble a component with a UV curing adhesive or coating, place and remove the part manually or automatically under the light source. Customers will provide their own mounting, shielding, cooling and venting for this unit.
