DISASSEMBLING AND ASSEMBLING OF THE BALANCE (IF NECESSARY) This operation must be carried out when the balance is on the movement. First open the index pins B to avoid distorting the hairspring. Then it is possible to take out the stud A from the stud support using tweezers and making a sideways lever movement with the ends of the tweezers set between the head of the stud and the index’s exterior diameter (Figure 3) Figure 3 To replace the stud, insert it in the slit of the stud support and push it in with a flat tool (Figure 4).
