3. INITIALIZE (MAC) OPERATION
3-1.How to initialize QT-2100 terminal
Preparation:
1. All peripheral devices and QT-2100 terminals of this cluster
should be turned off.
2. Connect all of the peripheral devices (such as printer, display
etc.) to QT-2100 terminal.
3. Connect all QT-2100 terminals by in-line.

4. Turn on all peripheral devices of a QT-2100 terminal.
5. Turn on this QT-2100 terminal with pressing the left-most key of
the top row and release the key after buzzer sounds.
6. After releasing the key, enter “other = 1000, USA = 2000” and
press the right part of the <ST> key.
7. Data:
Enter the current date (YY/MM/DD order) and press the <YES>
key.
8. Time:
Enter the current date (HH/MM/SS order) and press the <YES>
key.
9. ID Character:
In ID character field, the auto-defined ID No. is shown.
We recommend that you should not change the value.

3-2. How to initialize QT-2100 terminal (add/replace one QT-2100)
1. All peripheral devices and QT-2100 terminals of this cluster should be turned off.
2. Connect all of the peripheral devices (such as printer, display etc.) to this QT-2100 terminal.
3. Connect this QT-2100 terminal to in-line.
4. Turn on all peripheral devices of this QT-2100 terminal.
And turn on all QT-2100 except this terminal of the cluster.
5. Turn on this QT-2100 terminal with pressing the left-most key of the top row and release the key after
buzzer sounds.
6. After releasing the key, enter “other = 1000, USA = 2000” and press the right part of the <ST> key.
7. Refer to “2-1 How to initialize QT-2100 terminal” on page 3.
2-3. How to flag clear QT-2100 terminal (or INIT2)
Preparation:
1. This QT-2100 terminal should be turned off.
2. Check the connection of all peripheral devices (such as printer,
display etc.) of this QT-2100 terminal.
3. Check the connection of this QT-2100 terminal to in-line.
Operation:
4. Turn on this QT-2100 terminal with pressing the right-most key
of the top row and release the key after buzzer sounds.
5. After releasing the key, press the <ST> key.

4. DISASSEMBLY
■ UPPER COVER
1. Remove the key sheet and two screws.

1. Remove the upper cover as shown in steps 1 to 3 of page 9.
2. Remove the seven connectors (CN13, CN14, CN15, CN11, CN9, CN8, CN7, CN18), two FPCs (CN16,
CN17) and five screws, and then the MAIN PCB.

1. Remove the upper cover as shown in steps 1 to 3 of page 9.
2. Remove the rear cover.

1. Remove the two blinders (screw covers) and two screws.

6. OPTION INSTALLATION
6-1. REAR DISPLAY
Note: The REMOTE DISPLAY and the REAR DISPLAY cannot be fixed at the same time.
1. Assemble the REAR DISPLAY.
Note: Be careful with the direction (left/right) of the frame.

3. Fix two screws temporarily to the POWER UNIT.
4. Attach the REAR DISPLAY and fix it with two screws.

6-2. Dallas Key (Except for Germany)
1. Remove the upper cover as shown in steps 1 to 3 of page 9.
2. Let the Dallas key through the unit and connect it to the MAIN PCB (CN2).
Note: Wind the cable through the Ferrite core two and a half times.
