Opening the Safe S for the First Time • Remov ve the plastic cover on the frontt panel. • Insert the t key into the e lock and turn it i in an anticlockwise direction while turning th he knob in a clockwiise direction. • Open the door. CAUTION: Do not keep the override e keys in the sa afe. 4. Ins stalling or Replacing R th he Batteries s Your SSE E020 requires 4x 4 1.5 V AA alka aline batteries. • Remov ve the battery co over. • Install the batteries re especting the po olarity. The display will automatically scan the status of the electronic lock. To test your batteries, press p START. If the t batteries arre low, the display will show “Lo o-BAE” and battteries should be e replaced. 5. Opening the Safe S after Having H Insta alled the Ba atteries • Press START. S The disp play will show “-- - - - - - - - “. • Enter o one of the two preset p codes: “0 0000” being the user code, “888 88” being the master m code. Confirm by pres ssing START. Yo ou will hear a so ound and see “O OPEN” on the dis splay. • Open the door within 4 seconds using g the rotary kno ob. 6. Pro ogramming Your Own Code REMARK K: The safe can be programmed d with two sets of codes. After first opening an nd battery installation, program p two setts of codes overrwriting the facttory codes. Program mming the Use er Code • Open the door and pre ess the RED buttton (located on the inside of th he door near the e hinge). The diisplay ow “SET CodE”. will sho • Enter your y code consis sting of 3 to 8 fiigures. Confirm your code by pressing p START. • You willl hear a sound and see “IN” an nd your code on n the display, meaning the code e has been acce epted. Program mming the Mas ster Code • Press the RED button (located on the inside of the do oor near the hin nge) and press START. S The disp play ow “oLd CodE”. will sho • Enter the original mas ster code (“8888 8”) and press ST TART.
