IN CASE OF FAULT

• Proel products comply with directive 89/336/EEC (EMC) and following modifications 92/31/EEC and 93/68/EEC, as stated in EN
55103-1 and EN 55103-2 standards and with directive 73/23/EEC (LVD) and following modifications 93/68/EEC, as stated in EN
60065 standard.
PACKAGING, SHIPPING AND COMPLAINT
• This unit package has been submitted to ISTA 1A integrity tests. We suggest you control the unit conditions immediately after
unpacking it.
• If any damage is found, immediately advise the dealer. Keep all unit packaging parts to allow inspection.
• Proel is not responsible for any damage that occurs during shipment.
• Products are sold “delivered ex warehouse” and shipment is at charge and risk of the buyer.
• Damages to unit should be immediately notified to forwarder. Each complaint for manumitted package should be done within
eight days from receipt.
WARRANTY AND PRODUCTS RETURN
• Proel products have operating warranty and comply their specifications, as stated by manufacturer.
• Proel warrants all materials, workmanship and proper operation of this product for a period of two years from the original
date of purchase. If any defects are found in the materials or workmanship or if the product fails to function properly during
the applicable warranty period, the owner should inform about these defects the dealer or the distributor, providing receipt or
invoice of date of purchase and defect detailed description. This warranty does not extend to damage resulting from improper
installation, misuse, neglect or abuse. Proel S.p.A. will verify damage on returned units, and when the unit has been properly
used and warranty is still valid, then the unit will be replaced or repaired. Proel S.p.A. is not responsible for any "direct damage"
or "indirect damage" caused by product defectiveness.
INSTALLATION AND DISCLAIMER
• Proel products have been expressly designed for audio application, with signals in audio range (20Hz to 20kHz). Proel has no
liability for damages caused in case of lack of maintenance, modifications, improper use or improper installation non-applying
safety instructions.
• The installation of these speakers is provided for indoors, in case of use outdoors be sure that the speakers are installed correctly
in a safe location protected from wind, rain and umidity.
• The installation of these speakers is provided for wall mounting by means of specific wall brackets able to support their weight.
Fix the wall bracket to the wall using appropriate fixings.
• Always know the working load limit of the structure supporting the loudspeakers. Always make sure that the fixings minimum
rating is at least five times the actual load, speakers and wall brackets.
• Locate the speakers as far away as possible from radio or television receivers or other sensitive equipment. These speakers
have a strong magnetic field which can induce hum and noise into unshielded devices that are located nearby with consequent
deterioration of reception of image and sound.
• Proel S.p.A. declines any liability for damages to objects or persons caused by lacks of maintenance, improper use, installation
not performed with safety precautions and at the state of the art.

Introduction
XEOS is a series of speakers designed specifically for installed sound applications.
All of the models in the XEOS range utilize high-definition dome tweeters and high-efficiency woofers,
providing superior quality, full-range sound for a wide scope of installations where the sound system must
blend perfectly into any environment.
The three different surface-mount models available suit any kind of installed sound system, from paging and
background music in small-size environments, to full-range sound in bars, department stores and outdoor

INSTALLATION instructions valid for all models
1. WALL DRILLING AND FIXING THE BRACKET TO THE WALL
The wall drilling must be done as shown in the drawing for the model to be installed. Check if the
loudspeaker has enough space to orientate it in the desired direction and check that the fixing plugs
choosen are suitable to the type of wall and that they can hold up the weight of the speaker safely, then fix
the bracket to the wall.
2. CONNECTION
Connect the speaker to the amplifier following the correct polarity: Red (+) positive / Black (-) negative.
Following the same polarity for the whole audio system is very important for obtaining an optimal acoustical
result (see FIG. 2 - 3 - 4).
3. SPEAKER MOUNTING
Plug in the speaker into the bracket, aim it to sound a zone, then screw tightly the locking screws of the
cabinet.
ALWAYS MAKE SURE THAT LOUDSPEAKER IS PROPERLY LOCKED TO ITS BRACKET.
4. VOLTAGE SETTING
If the loudspeaker is connected to a constant voltage distributed line, set the switch to the correct voltage
(70V is usually the standard for America, 100V is usually the standard for Europe).
Always check that the line power amplifier is set for the same voltage.
5. LINE POWER SETTING OR LOW IMPEDANCE SETTING
Use the switch (1) to set the constant voltage line and the switch (2) to set the max power sent to the
loudspeaker: this setting depends on the max output power of amplifier and on the number of speakers
connected, according to the rule shown in FIG.3.
The same switch (2) can be used for selecting 8 W impedance, so the line transformer is excluded and the
loudspeaker can be connected to a low impedance amplifier (see the LOW IMPEDANCE SYSTEM connection
in FIG.4). In this case power capability of speakers and amplifier must be approximately the same for the
specified impedance.
CAUTION: the speaker can be damaged if it is erroneously set to 8 W and connected to a distributed
line.

• I Prodotti Proel sono provvisti della garanzia di funzionamento e di conformità alle proprie specifiche, come dichiarate dal
costruttore.
• La garanzia di funzionamento è di 24 mesi dopo la data di acquisto. I difetti rilevati entro il periodo di garanzia sui prodotti
venduti, attribuibili a materiali difettosi o difetti di costruzione, devono essere tempestivamente segnalati al proprio rivenditore
o distributore, allegando evidenza scritta della data di acquisto e descrizione del tipo di difetto riscontrato. Sono esclusi dalla
garanzia difetti causati da uso improprio o manomissione. Proel SpA constata tramite verifica sui resi la difettosità dichiarata,
correlata all’appropriato utilizzo, e l’effettiva validità della garanzia; provvede quindi alla sostituzione o riparazione dei prodotti,
declinando tuttavia ogni obbligo di risarcimento per danni diretti o indiretti eventualmente derivanti dalla difettosità.

grado di sopportare un peso almeno 5 volte superiore al carico degli altoparlanti inclusi i supporti.
• Installare questi altoparlanti il più lontano possibile da radioricevitori e televisori. Un altoparlante installato in prossimità di
questi apparati può causare interferenza e rumore con conseguente degrado della ricezione di immagini e suoni.

Introduzione
XEOS è una serie di diffusori progettati in modo specifico per installazioni fisse.
Tutti i modelli XEOS utilizzano tweeter a cupola ad alta definizione e woofer ad elevata efficienza, per
garantire prestazioni acustiche superiori e un suono full-range di elevata qualità, per un'ampia gamma di
installazioni in cui il sistema di diffusione deve fondersi perfettamente con l'ambiente.
I tre diversi modelli surface-mount sono adatti alla diffusione di annunci e musica di sottofondo in piccoli

Istruzioni di INSTALLAZIONE valide per tutti i modelli
1. FORATURA PARETE E MONTAGGIO SUPPORTO ALLA PARETE
Eseguire la foratura della parete secondo il disegno per il modello da installare. Accertarsi che l'altoparlante
disponga dello spazio necessario al suo orientamento e che i tasselli scelti siano adatti al tipo di parete e
siano in grado di sostenere il peso dell'altoparlante in sicurezza, quindi fissare il supporto alla parete.
2. COLLEGAMENTO
Collegare l'altoparlante all'impianto rispettando la polarità indicata: Rosso (+) positivo / Nero (-) negativo.
Rispettare la medesima polarità in tutto il sistema di amplificazione è molto importante al fine di ottenere
un comportamento acustico ottimale (vedi FIG. 2 - 3 -4).
3. FISSAGGIO ALTOPARLANTE
Inserire l'altoparlante nel supporto, puntarlo verso la zona da sonorizzare quindi avvitare accuratamente
le viti di blocco.
ACCERTARSI SEMPRE CHE L'ALTOPARLANTE SIA CORRETTAMENTE BLOCCATO AL SUPPORTO.
4. IMPOSTAZIONE LINEA
Se l'altoparlante è collegato ad una linea distribuita a tensione costante, accertarsi che il selettore sia
posizionato sulla corretta tensione (70V è solitamente usato come standard in America, 100V è solitamente
usato come standard in Europa).
Accertarsi sempre che l'amplificatore collegato sulla linea sia impostato alla medesima tensione.
5. IMPOSTAZIONE POTENZA LINEA O BASSA IMPEDENZA
Impostare tramite l'interuttore (1) la tensione della linea distribuita e tramite il selettore (2) impostare
la potenza da inviare all'altoparlante: l'impostazione è in funzione della potenza dell'amplificatore e del
numero di altoparlanti collegati secondo la formula riportata in FIG.3.
Lo stesso selettore può essere utilizzato per selezionare l'impedenza di 8 W, in modo da escludere il
trasformatore di linea e collegare l'altoprlante ad un amplificatore a bassa impedenza (vedi LOW IMPEDANCE
SYSTEM nella FIG.4). In tal caso la scelta della potenza dell'amplificatore deve approssimativamente
coincidere con la potenza degli altoparlanti impiegati per l'impedenza specificata.
ATTENZIONE: se un altoparlante viene erroneamente impostato su 8 W e collegato ad una linea
distribuita si può causare la rottura dell'altoparlante stesso.

SICHERHEITSHINWEISE

GARANTIE UND RÜCKGABE
• Für die Proel-Geräte gilt eine Garantie in Bezug auf die Funktionsfähigkeit und die Konformität zu den vom Hersteller angegebenen
Merkmalen.
• Die Garantie für die Funktionsfähigkeit gilt 24 Monate ab Kaufdatum. Mängel, die während der Garantiezeit an den verkauften
Produkten auftreten und auf Material- oder Herstellungsfehler zurückzuführen sind, müssen dem Händler oder der Vertriebsgesellschaft
umgehend angezeigt werden. Beigelegt werden muss ein schriftlicher Kaufbeleg und eine Beschreibung des aufgetretenen Mangels. Von
der Garantie nicht abgedeckt sind Mängel, die auf nicht bestimmungsgemäßen Gebrauch oder unerlaubtes Öffnen zurückzuführen sind.
Proel SpA prüft die zurückgesendete Ware auf die angegebenen, beim bestimmungsgemäßen Gebrauch aufgetretenen Mängel sowie
die Gültigkeit der Garantie. Anschließend werden die Geräte ersetzt oder repariert. Es besteht jedoch keinerlei Schadenersatzpflicht für
direkte oder indirekte Schäden aufgrund dieser Mängel.
INSTALLATION UND VERWENDUNGSEINSCHRÄNKUNGEN
• Die Proel-Geräte sind ausschließlich speziell zur Wiedergabe von Klang mit Audio-Eingangssignalen (20Hz-20kHz) bestimmt. Proel
haftet nicht für Schäden an Dritten, die durch mangelhafte Instandhaltung, unerlaubtes Öffnen, nicht bestimmungsgemäßen Gebrauch
oder eine Installation, bei der die Sicherheitsvorschriften missachtet wurden, verursacht werden.
• Diese Lautsprecher sind für die Installation in Innenräumen vorgesehen. Bei der Anwendung im Freien muss sichergestellt werden,
dass die Lautsprecher an einem sicheren, vor Wind, Regen und Feuchtigkeit geschützten Ort korrekt installiert werden.
• Diese Lautsprecher sind mit spezifischen Halterungen, die ihr Gewicht tragen können, an der Wand zu installieren. Wandhalterungen
mit geeigneten und für die Wand spezifischen Befestigungen fixieren.
• Die maximale Traglast der Konstruktion, die die Lautsprecher halten soll, nicht überschreiten. Prüfen, dass alle Befestigungshalterungen
mindestens das fünffache Gewicht der Lautsprecher einschließlich der Bauteile zur Aufhängung tragen können.
• Die Lautsprecher so weit wie möglich von Funkempfängern oder Fernsehern entfernt installieren. Ein in der Nähe dieser Geräte
installierter Lautsprecher kann Interferenzen und Rauschen verursachen, wodurch die Bild- und Klangqualität beeinträchtigt wird.
Proel haftet nicht für Schäden an Dritten, die durch mangelhafte Instandhaltung, unerlaubtes Öffnen, nicht bestimmungsgemäßen

XEOS ist eine speziell für ortsfeste Installationen entwickelte Lautsprecherserie.

1. WANDBOHRUNG UND WANDMONTAGE DER HALTERUNG
Die Bohrung in der Wand nach der Zeichnung des zu installierenden Modells ausführen. Sicherstellen, dass der
Leutsprecher ausreichend Platz für seine Ausrichtung hat und dass die ausgewählten Dübel für die Wand geeignet
sind. Außerdem müssen sie das Gewicht des Lautsprechers unter sicherheitlich einwandfreien bedingungen targen
können. Dann ist doe Halterung an der Wand zu befestigen.
2. ANSCHLUSS
Lautsprechher an die Anlage anschließen. Dabei ist die angezeigte Polarität zu beachten: Rot (+) positiv / Schwarz (-)
negativ. Für optimales Klangverhalten ist es sehr wichtig, an allen Komponenten des Verstärkersystems die richtige
Polung zu beachten. (siehe ABB. 2 - 3 -4).
3. LAUTSPRECHERBEFESTIGUNG
Den Lautsprecher in die Halterung einfügen, auf die zu beschallende Zone richten und dann die Sperrschrauben
sorgfältig anziehen.
IMMER SICHERSTELLEN, DASS DER LAUTSPRECHER KORREKT AN DER HALTERUNG FIXIERT IST.
4. EINSTELLUNG DER LINIE
Ist der Lautsprecher an eine Speiseleitung mit konstanter Spannung angeschlossen ist zu prüfen, dass der Wähler
auf der richtigen Spannung platziert ist (70V wird in der Regel als Standard in Amrika verwendet, 100V in Europa).
Immer prüfen, dass der auf der Linie angeschlossene Verstärker auf dieselbe Spannung eingestellt ist.
5. EINSTELLUNG DER LINIENLEISTUNG ODER NIEDRIGE IMPEDANZ
Mit dem Schalter (1) Die Spannung der Speiseleitung einstellen und mit dem Wähler (2) die zum Lautsprecher
zu sendende Leistung: Die Einstellung ist von der Leistung des Verstärkers abhängig und von der Zahl der
angeschlossenen Lautsprecher und kann berechnet werden nach der Formel in der ABB.3.
Derselbe Wähler kann verwendet werden, um die Impedanz 8 Wauszuwählen, sodass der Linientransformator
ausgeschaltet und der Lautsprecher an einen Verstärker mit niedriger Impedanz angeschlossen wird (siehe LOW
IMPEDANCE SYSTEM in der ABB.4). In diesem Fall muss die Wahl der Verstärkerleistung ungefähr mit der Leistung
der Verstärker übereinstimmen, die für die spezifische Impedanz verwendet werden.
ACHTUNG: Wird ein Lautsprecher irrtümlicherweise auf 8 W eingestellt und an eine Speiseleitung
angeschlossen, kann der Lautsprecher selbst beschädigt werden.

• Les produits Proel sont conformes à la directive 89/336/EEC (CEM, Compatibilité électromagnétique) et aux modifications

GARANTIES ET RETOURS
• Les appareils Proel sont pourvus de la garantie de fonctionnement et de conformité à ses spécifications, comme déclarées par le fabricant.
• La garantie de fonctionnement est de 24 mois à compter de la date d'achat. Les défauts détectés pendant la période de garantie
sur les produits vendus, attribuables à des vices de matériaux ou à des défauts de fabrication, doivent être signalés sans délai à
votre revendeur ou distributeur, en joignant un justificatif écrit de la date d'achat ainsi que la description du type de défaut relevé.
Les défauts causés par un usage impropre ou une altération frauduleuse sont exclus de la garantie. La société Proel SpA constate,
en vérifiant les appareils retournés, le défaut déclaré lié à l'utilisation appropriée ainsi que la validité réelle de la garantie ; elle
s'occupe ensuite du remplacement ou de la réparation des appareils, en déclinant toutefois toute obligation de dédommagement
pour tout dommage direct ou indirect résultant du défaut.
INSTALLATION ET LIMITES D'UTILISATION
• Les produits Proel sont destinés exclusivement à une utilisation spécifique de type sonore : signaux d'entrée de type audio
(20 Hz-20 kHz). Proel décline toute responsabilité en cas de dommages à des tiers causés par un défaut de maintenance, par des
altérations, un usage impropre ou une installation qui n'est pas effectuée selon les normes de sécurité.
• L'installation de ces haut-parleurs est prévue pour un usage à l'intérieur. En cas d'utilisation à l'extérieur, s'assurer que les hautparleurs soient installés correctement dans un endroit sûr et à l'abri du vent, de la pluie et de l'humidité.
• Il est prévu que ces haut-parleurs soient installés au mur à l'aide de supports spécifiques en mesure de soutenir leur poids. Fixer
les supports muraux en n'utilisant que des fixations appropriées et spécifiques pour ce mur.
• Ne pas dépasser la limite de charge de la structure qui soutiendra les haut-parleurs. S'assurer que toutes les fixations de support
soient en mesure de supporter un poids au moins 5 fois supérieur à la charge des haut-parleurs y compris les supports.
• Installer ces haut-parleurs le plus loin possible des récepteurs de radio et de télévision. Un haut-parleur installé à proximité de

Instructions d'INSTALLATION valables pour tous les modèles
1. TROUS DANS LE MUR ET MONTAGE DU SUPPORT AU MUR
Effectuer les trous du mur selon le dessin pour le modèle à installer. S'assurer que le haut-parleur dispose
de l'espace nécessaire pour son orientation, que les tasseaux choisis soient adaptés au type de mur et qu'ils
soient en mesure de supporter le poids du haut-parleur en toute sécurité, puis fixer le support au mur.
2. BRANCHEMENT
Brancher le haut-parleur à l'installation en respectant la polarité indiquée : rouge (+) positif/noir(-) négatif.
Respecter la même polarité sur l'ensemble du système d'amplification est très important afin d'obtenir un
comportement acoustique optimal. (voir les FIG. 2 - 3 - 4).
3. FIXATION DU HAUT-PARLEUR
Introduire le haut-parleur dans le support, le pointer vers la zone à sonoriser puis visser soigneusement les
vis de fixation.
TOUJOURS VÉRIFIER QUE LE HAUT-PARLEUR SOIT BIEN FIXÉ AU SUPPORT.
4. CONFIGURATION DE LA LIGNE
Si le haut-parleur est branché à une ligne distribuée à tension constante, s'assurer que le haut-parleur soit
positionné sur la bonne tension (habituellement, on utilise 70 V comme standard en Amérique, et 100 V en Europe).
Toujours s'assurer que l'amplificateur connecté sur la ligne soit configuré à la même tension.
5. CONFIGURATION DE LA PUISSANCE DE LA LIGNE OU BASSE IMPÉDANCE
À l'aide de l'interrupteur (1), configurer la tension de la ligne distribuée et avec le sélecteur (2), configurer
la puissance à envoyer au haut-parleur : la configuration dépend de la puissance de l'amplificateur et du
nombre de haut-parleurs branchés selon la formule reportée dans la FIG.3.
Le même sélecteur peut être utilisé pour sélectionner l'impédance de 8 W, de manière à exclure le
transformateur de ligne et connecter le haut-parleur à un amplificateur à basse impédance (voir LOW
IMPEDANCE SYSTEM dans la FIG.4). Dans ce cas, le choix de la puissance de l'amplificateur doit plus ou
moins coïncider avec la puissance des haut-parleurs utilisés pour l'impédance spécifiée.
ATTENTION : si vous configurez un haut-parleur de manière erronée sur 8 W et si vous le branchez
à une ligne distribuée, vous pouvez casser le haut-parleur.

o distribuidor, adjuntando la prueba escrita de la fecha de compra y la descripción del tipo de defecto detectado. Se excluyen de la
garantía los defectos causados por el uso inadecuado o alteraciones. Proel SpA comprueba mediante un control de las devoluciones,
los defectos declarados, y que se haya realizado el uso correcto, y que la garantía sea válida; de ser así, sustituye o repara los productos,
declinando cualquier obligación de indemnización por daños directos o indirectos que se deriven de dicho defecto.
INSTALACIÓN Y LIMITACIONES DE USO
• Los productos Proel están destinados exclusivamente a un uso específico de tipo sonoro: señales de entrada de tipo audio (20

• La instalación de estos altavoces debe realizarse en interiores, en caso de uso en exteriores, asegúrese de que los altavoces se
instalen correctamente en un lugar seguro y protegido contra el viento, la lluvia y la humedad.

XEOS es una serie de difusores diseñados de forma específica para instalaciones fijas.

1. PERFORACIÓN EN LA PARED Y MONTAJE DEL SOPORTE EN LA PARED
Perfore la pared según el dibujo para el modelo que se va a instalar. Asegúrese de que el altavoz disponga
del espacio necesario para su orientación y que los tacos seleccionados sean adecuados para el tipo de
pared y capaces de sostener el peso del altavoz de forma segura, entonces fije el soporte a la pared.
2. CONEXIÓN
Conecte el altavoz a la instalación respetando la polaridad indicada: Rojo (+) positivo / Negro (-) negativo.
Respetar la misma polaridad en todo el sistema de amplificación es muy importante para obtener un
comportamiento acústico óptimo (véase la FIG. 2 - 3 -4).
3. FIJACIÓN DEL ALTAVOZ
Introduzca el altavoz en el soporte, diríjalo hacia la zona que se va a sonorizar y enrosque bien los tornillos
de bloqueo.
ASEGÚRESE SIEMPRE DE QUE EL ALTAVOZ ESTÉ BLOQUEADO CORRECTAMENTE AL SOPORTE.
4. CONFIGURACIÓN DE LA LÍNEA
Si el altavoz está conectado a una línea distribuida con tensión constante, asegúrese de que el selector
esté posicionado en la tensión correcta (70 V se usa normalmente como estándar en América, 100 V se usa
normalmente como estándar en Europa).
Asegúrese siempre de que el amplificador conectado en la línea esté configurado en la misma
tensión.
5. CONFIGURACIÓN DE LA POTENCIA DE LA LÍNEA O BAJA IMPEDANCIA
Configure mediante el interruptor (1) la tensión de la línea distribuida y mediante el selector (2) configure
la potencia que hay que enviar al altavoz: la configuración es una función de la potencia del amplificador y
del número de altavoces conectados según la fórmula reproducida en la FIG.3.
Este mismo selector se puede usar para seleccionar la impedancia de 8 W, para desactivar el transformador
de línea y conectar el altavoz a un amplificador de baja impedancia (véase LOW IMPEDANCE SYSTEM en la
FIG.4). En este caso la selección de la potencia del amplificador debe coincidir aproximadamente con la
potencia de los altavoces usados para la impedancia especificada.
ATENCIÓN: si un altavoz se configura erróneamente en 8 W y se conecta a una línea distribuida se
puede causar su rotura.
