OPERATION MACHINE MAINTENANCE To keep the machine in good working condition, simply follow the daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly maintenance procedures. WARNING: Electrical Shock Hazard. Disconnect Battery Cables Before Servicing Machine. FIG. 28 DAILY MAINTENANCE (After Every Use) 1. Remove the burnishing pad and clean or replace (Figure 26). 4. Recharge the batteries after a total of 30 minutes of use or more (See CHARGING BATTERIES). WEEKLY MAINTENANCE (Every 20 Hours of Use) With an air pressure hose, blow out the dust that collects inside the pad driver motor. This will prolong the life of the motor. Safety Glasses required (Figure 29). FIG. 26 2. Empty or replace the dust control bag. Remove the bag clip to empty bag (Figure 27). Do not allow bag to fill beyond half full. FIG. 29 MONTHLY MAINTENANCE (Every 80 Hours of Use) 1. Check the fluid level in each battery cell (See BATTERY MAINTENANCE). 2. Clean the battery tops of corrosion (See BATTERY MAINTENANCE). 3. Check for loose or corroded battery cables. FIG. 27 3. Clean the machine with an all purpose cleaner and damp cloth (Figure 28). 4. Lubricate the caster with a water resistant grease. FOR SAFETY: When cleaning machine, do not power spray or hose off machine. Electrical malfunction may occur. 6. Check the condition of the dust skirt, replace if worn (Figure 30). 14 Home 5.
