Notice : information de l’utilisateur Avant d’utiliser l’inhalateur doseur, veuillez lire attentivement cette notice et respecter les instructions MODE D'EMPLOI DE L'INHALATEUR IMPORTANT Prenez votre temps pour les étapes 4 et 5. Il est important que vous commenciez à inspirer aussi lentement que possible juste avant de libérer la dose. Sortez l'inhalateur de la bouche et bloquez votre respiration pendant 10 secondes, ou aussi longtemps que vous le pouvez sans difficulté. Expirez lentement. Hold the inhaler upright as shown with your thumb on the base. Place either one or two fingers on the top of the canister. Breathe out gently through your mouth. Thereafter place the mouthpiece of the inhaler in your mouth between your teeth and close your lips around it (do not bite it). IMPORTANT Do not rush steps 4 and 5. It is important that you start to breathe in as slowly as possible just before releasing the dose. Remove the inhaler from your mouth and hold your breath for 10 seconds or for as long as it is comfortable. Breathe out slowly. 4. Remettez la cartouche et le capuchon protecteur en place. Gently pull the metal canister out of the plastic body of the inhaler. Remove the mouthpiece cover. 2. Rinse the plastic body and mouthpiece cover in running tap water. Plastic body Testing the inhaler If you are using the inhaler for the first time or if the inhaler has not been used for a minimum of two days, release one puff into the air. 3. If you see ‘mist’ coming from the top of the inhaler or the sides of your mouth; start again from step 2. This escaping mist indicates failure of technique. 3. INDICATIONS - Traitement de la crise d’asthme - Traitement et prophylaxie du bronchospasme dans l’asthme bronchique, la bronchite chronique et l’emphysème - Prévention des symptômes dans des circonstances connues par le patient pour précipiter une crise d’asthme (par exemple, avant l’effort). CONTRE-INDICATIONS Hypersensibilité à l’un quelconque des constituants de la préparation. POSOLOGIE ET ADMINISTRATION Adultes - Soulagement des épisodes aigus de bronchospasme : 1 ou 2 bouffées. Cette dose est généralement suffisante. Si les symptômes persistent, renouveler l’administration à la même dose au bout de quelques minutes. - Prévention du bronchospasme induit par l’effort : 2 inhalations 15 à 30 minutes avant l’effort. - Traitement chronique d’entretien ou prophylaxie : 1 ou 2 inhalations, 3 ou 4 fois par jour. Enfants (âgés de moins de 12 ans) - Bronchospasme aigu : 1 inhalation, une seule fois - Traitement chronique d’entretien ou prophylaxie : 1 inhalation, 3 ou 4 fois par jour. La dose quotidienne ne doit pas dépasser 15 bouffées. Respectez la prescription de votre médecin. Si la dose recommandée ne procure pas l’effet souhaité ou si les symptômes s’aggravent, consultez votre médecin. Tirez délicatement la cartouche métallique hors du corps en plastique de l'inhalateur. Retirez le capuchon protecteur. 2. Rincez le corps en plastique et le capuchon protecteur à l’eau du robinet. Tenez l'inhalateur verticalement comme sur l’illustration, en plaçant le pouce au-dessous. Placez un ou deux doigts sur le dessus de la cartouche. Expirez doucement par la bouche. Introduisez ensuite l’embout buccal de l'inhalateur dans la bouche, entre les dents, et refermez les lèvres autour de cet embout (ne le mordez pas). Nettoyez l'inhalateur au moins une fois par semaine. INDICATIONS - Treatment of asthmatic attack. - Treatment and prophylaxis of bronchospasm in bronchial asthma, chronic bronchitis and emphysema. - Prevent symptoms in circumstances recognised by the patient to precipitate an asthma attack (e.g. before exercise). CONTRAINDICATIONS Hypersensitivity to any components of the formulation. FOR CHILDREN Parents must assist those children who need help in using the inhaler correctly. DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION Adults - For the relief of acute episodes of bronchospasms: 1 or 2 puffs. This dose is generally sufficient. In case the symptoms persist, renew above dosage after few minutes. - To prevent exercise - induced bronchospasm: 2 inhalations 15 to 30 minutes prior to exercise. - Chronic maintenance or prophylaxis: 1 or 2 inhalations, 3 or 4 times daily. Children (below 12 years) - Acute bronchospasm: 1 inhalation as a single dose. - Chronic maintenance or prophylaxis: 1 inhalation 3 or 4 times daily. Daily dose should not exceed 15 puffs. Use only as directed by your doctor. If the recommended dose does not provide relief of symptoms or symptoms become worse, consult your doctor. ATTENTION - En cas d’administration après une crise d’asthme, consultez immédiatement votre médecin si vous ne constatez aucune amélioration au bout de quelques minutes. - Chez les patients asthmatiques adultes, l’administration continue d’un médicament anti-inflammatoire est recommandée si la fréquence d’inhalation de salbutamol est supérieure à une fois par semaine. - Ne pas dépasser la dose prescrite. - La cartouche métallique est sous pression. Ne la percez pas et ne la jetez pas au feu, même lorsqu’elle est vide. - Tenir à distance des yeux. - Ne pas laisser à la portée des enfants. - Le salbutamol peut induire une réponse positive aux contrôles anti-dopage. GROSSESSE L’administration de ce médicament pendant la grossesse n'est pas contre-indiquée. ALLAITEMENT Le salbutamol est sécrété dans le lait maternel ; par conséquent, son utilisation n’est pas recommandée chez les femmes qui allaitent. EFFETS INDÉSIRABLES Rares : tremblements légers, palpitations, maux de tête, crampes musculaires et tachycardie. Comme avec d’autres agents inhalés, un bronchospasme paradoxal peut survenir ; l’administration sera alors interrompue et une autre forme de traitement devra être prescrite. Corps en plastique Inhalateur doseur NETTOYAGE Date de révision de la notice : Janvier 2013 WARNING - Consult your Doctor immediately if no relief is noticed after a few minutes of administration following an asthmatic crisis. - In adult asthmatic patients, it is advisable to continuously take an anti inflammatory drug especially if the patient is to inhale salbutamol more than once a week. - Do not exceed the prescribed dose. - The metal canister is pressurised. Do not puncture or burn it even when empty. - Keep away from eyes. - Keep out of the reach of children. - Salbutamol can give a positive answer to anti-doping tests. PREGNANCY The administration of this drug during pregnancy is not contraindicated. LACTATION Salbutamol is secreted in breast milk hence its use in nursing mothers is not recommended. SIDE EFFECTS Mild tremor, palpitations, headache, muscle cramp and tachycardia have been rarely reported. As with other inhalation therapy the potential for paradoxical bronchospasm should be discontinued immediately and alternative therapy instituted. STORAGE Store below 30°C.
