Children should be supervised in order to ensure they don‘t play with the machine. 6. Connect the appliance to alternating current only, in accordance with the rating plate. 7. Appliances are not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remotecontrol system. 8. Never immerse the appliance into water or any other liquid. You may risk an electric shock! 9. Never touch the appliance or power cord with wet hands. 10. For safety reasons, never place the appliance on hot surfaces, a metal tray or a wet surface. 11. Do not place the appliance or power cord near open flames during operation. 12. Make sure that the power cord does not hang over the edge of the countertop or table, since this can cause accidents, for example if small children pull on the cord. 13. If you use an extension cord, make sure that it is intact and suitable for the power draw of the appliance; otherwise, there is a possibility of overheating. 14. Route the power cord and extension cord, if used, so that there is no possibility of the cords being pulled or tripped over. 15. Use the appliance only indoors. 16. Unwind cable before heating the grill to avoid any contact with hot parts. 17. Do not touch the grill plates during operation: you may burn your skin! 18. Touch the hot unit only at the handles. 19. Take care that the unit is placed with sufficient space round and is not placed directly near a wall or corner. 20. For cleaning take of plates when cooled down and clean by hand or in the dishwasher. The unit should be wiped with a damp cloth. Always remove plug from socket before cleaning! 21. Do not use the appliance with accessories of other manufacturers or brands, to prevent damage. 22. Before the first use wipe the grill plates with a damp cloth and oil them slightly. Due to the lamination a further oiling is not required. 2. Put the unit in closed condition on a heat resisting surface. 3. Adjust the required temperature and put the plug into a grounded 220-240 V~ mains socket. 15
