Pneumatic Dense-Phase Conveyor PTA 4.7.12 CONVEYING AIR DEDUSTING FACILITIES (OPTION) Both the conveying air and the product are separated at the end of the conveying distance. Normally, the conveying air needs still to be dedusted. Usually, automatic filters are used for this purpose. If the filter is not included in the scope of the delivery, the required filter can be dimensioned on the basis of the specifications on the system data sheet. 4.7.13 PRESSURE RELIEF FLAP Pressure relief flaps are mechanically operated excess pressure protection devices (burst protection) that serve to prevent dedusting facilities and silos from bursting. The provision of pressure relief flaps by the operator is compulsory! When conveying dangerous products, the operator must, in the course of a safety analysis, verify if or if not the product escaping from the system in the event of a reaction of these pressure relief flaps can be collected. Danger 4.8 OPERATING CONDITIONS A specification of the operating conditions to be observed with regard to the pressure and temperature levels admitted with the supplied system can be learned from an additional plate affixed on the blow vessel. GERICKE guarantees a conveyance only with regard to the products based on the characteristics of which the dense-phase conveyor described herein has been dimensioned and designed (see system specifications). Any modification or change of the product to be conveyed and also any change of the conveying path or distance to be covered, requires that a new verification of the machine dimensioning be made. Without special confirmation, the following temperature levels are assumed to be correct: • Maximum product temperature: 80° C • Maximum ambient temperature: 40° C 4.9 EXTERNAL FIRE Always make sure to avoid the existence of combustible materials in the vicinity of the system, as these could lead to or cause an external fire.
