The EPS provides the necessary power supply to open the Comfort
system with empty battery once.
Detailed Information
Further information on the product is given in Section 8 "Product
specification".
3
Intended Use
Area of use

CAUTION
Risk of malfunctions
Unauthorised access
With the Comfort system it is only possible to connect an
external power supply from the outside (profile cylinder cover
without Open button). In the Active Power Off state coupled
lever handles remain coupled until an external power supply
is connected properly. Therefore access is possible for all.
The external power supply must be connected to the outside
of the door.

Maintenance and Cleaning
Maintenance and cleaning may only be carried out by qualified personnel.
We do not provide any warranty whatsoever for damage caused by
improper handling.
Maintenance
The external power supply (EPS) is maintenance free.
Cleaning and Care
CAUTION
Risk of personal injuries
Information is transferred from the external power supply
(EPS) to the terminals via the EPS interface cable. Thick dirt
or liquids such as water or oils can prevent communication,
so that it is possible for people to be locked in or out. Check
the interface cable for dirt regularly and clean if necessary.
CAUTION
Material damage due to incorrect cleaning
Incorrect cleaning can cause attack and damage to the
surfaces:
 Do not use alkali, acidic or chlorine-containing cleaning
agents.
 Do not use cleaning agents containing abrasive additives.
 Do not use abrasive instruments, e.g. brushes.
