! CAUTION: Read this before installing lava rock
•Lava rock is heat-resistant when used with standard gas fireplaces and under
non-extreme heat conditions.
•Wet lava rock should never be placed on a fire; allow them to dry completely before
burning. Though rare, wet lava rock could crack or pop out when they become hot.
•After several burns, the lava rock may develop a residue or discoloration from
charring. Wash with lukewarm water and soap to remove these stains.
•Lava rock may be used alone or in combination with decorative fire stones or fire glass.
Follow all instructions included in your fireplace owner’s manual.
