IMPORTANT/IMPORTANT
a) We recommend that the installation be performed by a qualified electrician who will check the strength of the suppor-
tive ceiling member and make the proper electrical connections.

CEILING FAN INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION “INSTRUCTIONS DE MONTAGE DU VENTILATEUR ROTATIF
1. Be sure to read the instructions and review the diagram thoroughly before beginning.
— Lire attentivement les instructions et examiner les schémas avant de commencer
l'installation.
2. To avoid possible electrical shock, shut off electrical power. All electrical connec-
tions must be in accordance with local codes, or ordinance. ‘If you are unfamiliar
with methods of installing electrical wiring, secure the services of a qualified electri-
cian, he will be able to check the strength of the supportive ceiling members and
make the proper electrical connections, make certain that outlet box or structural
member is strong enough to support at least 40 Ibs.

les connections électriques ddivent être légales et conformes aux codes et décrets

ASSEMBLING DOWNROD WITH MOTOR AND SWITCH HOUSING Diagram “A”:

SCHEMA A:
1. Place ‘motor on styrofoam base, this will ensure no damage may occur during assemb!-
ing.
— Placer le moteur sur la base d'emballage en mousse de polyéthylene afin de la protéger
des dommages durant l'assemblage.
2. Slip canopy along downrod so that canopy can cover hangball. Feed black, white
power wire with blue light wire through downrod.
—Glisser la coupole le long de la tige atin yu'elle recouvre le capuchon de suspension.
Insérer le fil blanc, ie fil noir du courant électrique ainsi que le fil bleu de l'éclairage
au dedans de la tige.
3. It is absolutely essential the downrod be properly secured to the downrod coupling
to prevent possible separation when fan is operated in reverse.

4. Loosen downrod security screw to allow for complete entry of downrod. Put down-
rod into downrod coupling, visually align holes in downrod cotter pin through holes
and ¡insert downrod cotter key. Secure by curling end of cotter key, tighten security

1. Securely attach the mounting bracket to the outlet box on top of
mounting bracket, using two functions box screws.
— Fixer soigneusement la ferrure de montage à la boîte de sortie électrique
sur le dessus de la ferrure. Utiliser 2 vis de raccord.

2. Lift fan assembly into position of mounting bracket opening, then rotate the fan so
that the notch on the ball engages ridge in the mounting bracket.
— Soulever l'ensemble du ventilateur en ligne avec l’ouverture de la ferrure de montage
et tourner le ventilateur jusqu'á ce que l'encoche sur le capuchon de suspension
s'engage dans la ferrure de montage.
3. Make electrical wire connections and secure with connectors.
— Faire les connections électriques et fixer avec les marettes,
A) Black and blue wire frum tan to black wire from power source.
— Les fils noir et bleudu ventilateur au fil noir de la source électrique.
B) White wire from fan to white wire from power source.
— Le fil blanc du ventilateur au fil blanc de la source électrique.
C) Green wire (ground) from fan to house grou nd wire.
— Le fil vert (mise á terre) du ventilateur a la mise a terre du bátiment.

D) Install two canopy screws to mounting bracket, raise ceiling canopy, twist, and
tighten screws.
— Fixer les deux vis pour la coupole a la ferrure de montage, maintenir la coupole au

ASSEMBLING CANOPY WITH MOTOR (See Dig.7)
1. Feed wires through RUBBER GASKET large hole in canopy and place canopy over downrod coupling.
2. Align recessed holes in canopy over top of three screw heads on top of motor housing.
3. Secure canopy by screwing the three adapter screws and lock washers down tight in the remaining
open holes.
"To avoid fan from falling, lock washer must be used.
INSTALLING THE FAN FOR ADAPTER STYLE
BEFORE INSTALLING,.BE SURE ELECTRICITY IS TURNED OFF AT THE MAIN POWEP SUPPLY.
1. Secure MOUNTING BRACKET to the building structure with safety plate by using two wood screws
and washers. (See О19.6).
2. For better fan performance make sure this bracket is secured firmly against the ceiling and is level.
Additional washers (not provided) may be needed to insert between outlet box and bracket to level out
fan.
3. Use one screw hole on canopy to hang motor assembly on the hook of the mounting bracket. This will
aid in making electrical connections (See Dig.8)
4. Use wire nuts to make wiring.
Please refer to section titled ” ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS”
a. Spread apart the wires, let GREEN and WHITE wires on one side, and BLACK and BLUE one the other
side of junction box.
b. Connect BLACK wire from fan with HO Twire from electrical power.
c. Connect WHITE wire from fan with NEUTRAL wire from electrical power.
d. If you wan to use LIGHT KIT, join BLUE and BLACK wires from fan together and connect to hot wire
from electrical power.
e. GREEN wire(Ground) from fan to house ground wire.
f. The splices after wiring should be turned carefully up into junction box.
5 Unhook motor assembly from mounting bracket, secure canopy by screws with regular washers and
spring washers from side.(See Dig.9)

ASSEMBLING BLADES AND BLADES HOLDERS ~ASSEMBLAGE DES PALES ET FERRURES DES PALES:
Check the pitch of blade holder by using the simplest way as illustrated. Diagram “E”
— Verifiez l'angle des ferrures tel qu'illustré (Schéma E)
There are three screws to attach blades to the blade holder. See diagram “F”
Thread the screws through the top of the blades and then into the blade holder. After,
tighten the three screws evenly and securely. To attach the blade holders to the motor
use the holder screws. Diagram “F” and “G”.
After blades holders have been installed, tighten áll mount screws evenly and securely.
— Trois vis sont fournies pour fixer les pales á leurs ferrures. SCHEMA E:
Glisser les vis par le dessus des pales, puis dans les ferrures. Mettre en place les fer-
rures des pales au moteur à l’aide des vis,

BALANCE FOR CEILING FAN /EQUILIBRE DES PALES DE VOTRE VENTILATEUR:
If your ceiling fan exhibit objectionable wobble during operation check the followings:
Si une oscillation exagérée se produit pendant le fonctionnement du ventilateur, vérifier
les points suivants:
1. Check if the ball hanger canopy has not been distorted by over tightening the mount-
ing screws. ;
— Vérifier si la coupole a été tordue en vissant trop serré les vis de montage.
2. Make certain the downrod assembly is tight so that there is no wobble between the
— ball and the downrod assembly.
— Assurez-vous que l'assemblage de la tige est bien serré afin qu'il n’y ait pas de jeu
entre le capuchon de suspension et la tige.
3. Make certain that the lock screw is set following any adjustment to the downrod
assembly.
— Assurez-vous que la vis de blocage est bien serrée sur la tige.
4. Check that all blades are screwed firmly into the blade holder.
— Assurez-vous que toutes les ferrures soient bien fixées aux pales.
5. Check that all blades holders are tightly secured to the motor.
— Assurez-vous que toutes les ferrures soient bien fixees au bloc moteur.
6. Check the distance from ceiling to blade tip on each blade from one position on the
ceiling. Using a yard strip, measure the distance to one of the blade tips. Now rotat-
ing the blades by hand to this position of the yard stick, make sure that all blades are
at the same distance frqm the ceiling at this spot. A blade not at the same level as the
others will cause the fan to wobble correct by gently bending the blade holder up or
down so that they all be at the same level.
Avez une mesure rigide, mesurez la distance du plafond a l'extrémité d'une pale,
gardant cette position, tournez les pales avec la main et mesurez chacune d'elles de
la même façon. Assurez-vous que la distance est la mème du plafond à chaque pale.
Une pale qui n'est pas au même niveau que les autres causera un déséquilibre. Cor-
rigez en pliant délicatement la ferrure vers le haut ou le bas afin que toutes les pales
soient au même niveau.
LIGHT FIXTURE Diagram “H” / UNIT D’ECLAIRAGE SCHEMA H:
1. To connect light fixture loosen the three screws at top of switch housing and twist
switch housing. Then disconnect the large male & female connector.
— Pour brancher l'unité d'éclairage, relácher les trois vis au haut du boitier d’interrup-
teur et tourner, Débrancher ensuite les gros connecteurs mâle et femelle.
2. Unscrew centre screw at bottom of housing, pass the light fixture wires through
center hole and screw the light fixture onto the switch housing bottom. You will see
a blue and a white wire with a tag mark “Light Kit".
Dévisser la vis du centre sous le boîtier d'interrupteur passer les fils d'éclairage dans Ïe
trou et visser l'appareil d'éclairage du boîtier d'interrupteur. Un fil bleu et un fil
blanc sont munis d'une étiquette rouge marquée “Light Kit”.
3. Connect the blue wire to the blue or black of the light fixture ana the white to the
white.
— Raccorder le fil bleu au fil bleu ou noir de l'appareil d'éclairage et le fil blanc au fil
blanc.
4. If the wires of the light fixtures do not have connectors, cut the connectors of the
“Light Kit” of the fan, strip the ends half an inch, and make the connections using
the proper size marretts. |
— Les fils du boîtier d'interrupteur sont munis de connecteurs. Si les fils de l'appareil
d'éclairage n'ont pas de connecteurs, couper les connecteurs du ‘Light Kit” dénuder
le bout des fils1/2" et faire le raccord avec les marettes appropriées.
5. If the light holder is aiready installed to the housing, then just attach the glass shade
to the light holder by securing three screws.
— Sur certains modèles, le support du luminaire est déjà installé au boîtier d'interrup-
teurs. Si c'est le cas, vous n'avez qu'a fixer le globe au support et á serrer les trois vis.

After all wire connections are made and before upper canopy or flush mount canopy
or hugger housing is attached to mounting bracket or mounting plate, start to
proceed the second - extra support hanging system by passing the steel wire with
loop through mounting bracket and if possible, through the knockout of outlet
box, make sure wire is tightened, and then secured on wooden beam with wood
screw and washer assembly through loop of wire. Make sure, the wire is tightly
secured before next installation step.
Note: The other end of looped wire is routed through nylon sleeve and brass nut and
tightenly secured with machine screw.

Après avoir effectué la connection de tous les fils et avant l'installation finale de la
clochette ou du boîtier du ventilateur (selon le modèle) au support ou à la plaque
de fixation, procédez à l'installation du câble de sécurité en le passant dans le
trou du support de fixation et, si possible, à travers l’un des trous non utilise de la
boîte électrigue.
Soyez certain que le câble est bien serré.
Placez-le alors sur la solive de bois et fixez-le en plaçant la rondelle de métal et
la vis à l’intérieur de l’oeillet du câble.
Encore une fois, soyez certain que le câble est bien serré avant la prochaine étape.
Note: L'autre extrémitée du câble est passé à l’intérieur de la rondelle de nylon et de
l’écrou de laiton et y est solidement attaché à l'aide d’une vis à métal.
