SYMPTOM
POSSIBLE CAUSES
26. During recording, the
date/time does not appear.
26. •“DISPLAY” is set to “OFF” in
the Date/Time Menu.
•Interface shooting is
performed.
27. The indicators and
messages do not appear
on screen.
27. •“ON SCREEN” is set to
“OFF” in the Date/Time
Menu.
28. The indicators do not
appear on the LCD
monitor or in the
viewfinder.
28. •You have made the indicators disappear.
28. •Press the IND.ON/OFF
button for longer than 1
second to make the
indicators appear

29. Images on the LCD
monitor appear dark or
whitish.
29. •In places subject to low
temperature, images become
dark due to the characteristics of the LCD monitor.
When this happens, the
displayed colors differ from
those that are actually
recorded. This is not a defect
of the camcorder.
•When the LCD monitor's
fluorescent light reaches the
end of its service life, images
on the LCD monitor become
dark. Consult your nearest
JVC dealer.
29. •Adjust the brightness and
angle of the LCD monitor
(Z pg. 24, 25).
30. The rear of the LCD
monitor is hot.
30. •The light used to illuminate
the LCD monitor causes it to
become hot.
30. •Close the LCD monitor to
turn it off or set the Power
Dial to “OFF”, and let the
unit cool down.
31. The indicators and the
image color on the LCD
monitor are not clear.

surface or the edge of the
LCD monitor is pressed.

cause damage.

functions that cannot be
used together are selected at
the same time.
