LED BACKLIGHTING – FOR EVEN MORE BRILLIANCE.
LED backlighting technology is a modern version of illumination in LCD monitors. Grundig uses “Edge LED” technology, with small LEDs arranged on all four sides of the monitor. They illuminate the entire surface of the panel.
The result is a picture display true to nature, in brilliant colours and with outstanding contrast. Using LEDs in
LCD TVs also reduces energy consumption and allows the housing of these models to be incredibly slim.
Another advantage is the long service life of the LEDs used.

THE GRUNDIG PICTURE PERFECTION RATE.
The Grundig Picture Perfection Rate particularly improves the quality of motion pictures. In addition to
the usual picture refresh rate of the panel (100 or 200 Hz), the Grundig Full Motion technology combined
with backlight scanning (flashing/dimming backlighting) ensures more visible details in scenes with fast
movements. Grundig Full Motion technology is based on the latest generation of powerful video processors which are built into the Grundig LCD TVs. With the help of these processors, the movements in the
programme currently on are analysed, additional images calculated (interpolated) and then inserted between the original images. This enables Grundig LCD TVs to reproduce high-quality pictures with a clear,
realistic display without any flickering or motion blur.
Television stations broadcast 50 fields per second. In addition to the fields, further fields are calculated and inserted using the
new Grundig Full Motion technology, which are calculated using the 100 or 200 Hertz technology of LCD panels. This results in
outstanding television pictures with completely fluid motion.
INTEGRATED GRUNDIG MULTIMEDIA PLAYER WITH THE DIVX PLUS HD STANDARD.
All the Grundig TVs in this catalogue have an integrated multimedia player certified according to the
DivX Plus HD standard. DivX Plus HD is the new, state-of-the-art standard for compressing HD videos.
Many video-on-demand platforms already use the DivX Plus HD standard.
Paid content protected by the DivX DRM code can be played on Grundig TVs with DivX Plus HD certification.
Multimedia players with DivX Plus HD certification in Grundig TVs have these advantages:
• You can play films in many different formats using the USB port on the TV.
• Just like DVDs, DivX Plus HD films with the .mkv suffix contain chapter markers, subtitles and several
audio tracks.
