Welcome to the UNICOL Deutschland GmbH catalogue. In this edition we continue our family
tradition of giving you, our customer more in return for your investment with UNICOL.
With a choice of over 200,000 products we have selected a small range of items that we feel are
best suited to your market needs, providing detailed product information to fulfil your AV Installation
request. For instance our successful range of AXIA stands and trolleys has gone to the extremes
of engineering excellence, with the strength of the TITAN range for large format displays up to 108”
and the finesse of the AXIA Lite for lightweight LED displays.
In additional there is a range of modular Video-wall solutions. Along with fine adjustment
functionality for easy installation and universal mounts for flexibility, we have developed our
products with world leading display manufacturers and designed a product that considers cooling,
easy display removal, servicing, cable management, flexibility of installation requirement, a range
of display combinations regardless of orientation, PC / Player mounting points, ceiling wall or floor
mount options and trolley versions for mobility.
Since 1963 our extensive knowledge of AV Installations has helped our customers
worldwide with solutions for the most challenging applications.

Museum of London
AV is used throughout the
Museum to make the story
of London come to life. One
of the first exhibits visitors see is a
printing press with paper seeming to
fly from it. This appears to have more
than 30 screens of different sizes, but
it only uses 3 high resolution projectors
with images masked in the software to
match the screen layout. The projectors
are mounted from the ceiling on Unicol

ADAPTA-WALL™
A versatile system that provides many combinations for Video-wall applications. Supplied
in vertical modules of no more than 4 landscape screens, each with it’s own adjustment.
Each module can be added to, both horizontally and vertically, in order that modules can
be built up to make different sizes of Video-wall. Portrait versions also available.

Included in the system are our standard or heavy duty columns for the screen mounts to attach to, ensuring that a plumb
structure is built to support the screens. In addition the structure provides a natural air curtain for ventilation of screens. Fans can
be added if installing into closed spaces. PC shelves are also available – these are mounted behind the screens for easy access.
To remove screens simply push the top of screen bezel forward to tilt the screens back, loosen 2 screws and lift screens off.

There are many combinations of screen configurations and installation requirement. Therefore, we have provided a guide
based on a single vertical stack of 4 x 46” landscape screens on 2.5m high columns – see diagrams opposite. Anything outside of
this criteria may require longer columns and joiners – please call us so we can tailor make a solution to fit your particular needs.

systems to solve the most difficult challenges.
We mostly use standard parts from our vast
database but sometimes a new design is necessary
to provide a solution that is cost effective and
meets the customers requirement.
Special Projector Rigs
Alongside our standard range of projector mounts we also
undertake specialist rigs for many applications including
housings for different lenses, filter holders, twin and triple
stack units and 3D rigs, (shown right).
These projects have to be programmed into our work flow
and in some cases we require the projector into our factory.

PROJECT EXAMPLES
Mobile Information Display System
What happens when you want to inform your customers
of the current situation in a crisis?
This trolley has been designed and rolled out for such
an event with 4 x 40” screens in portrait displaying
information and one 40” screen in landscape displaying
news or entertainment. Surveillance cameras and WiFi
mounting points have also been added along with a
large cabinet to house 2 x 10-way PDU’s, Network Switch
and associated cables for deployment. The unit can be
electrically lowered from it’s deployed height of 2.4m
down to 1.9m (top of screen) for storage.
In-store Digital Signage Solution
The client wanted a sleek digital signage solution for
their In-store window display that was sympathetic to
their corporate colours and store design. The screen used
was a Hi-brite 46” set mounted in portrait. The corporate
style was white and stainless steel and the system had to
display printed material to the inside of the store, which
could easily be updated.
Because Hi-brite screens tend to run hotter and shop
windows can be in hot sunlight it was decided to utilise
the screens natural venting system rather than placing
in an air conditioned box. This saved considerably on the
cost of the mounting system. Stainless steel columns were
used in a goal post configuration to keep the design slim,
whilst providing a finishing trim for the sides of the screen.
A rear cover was provided for a mag-strip printed poster.
The screen bezel and rear covers were sprayed white.

Digital Window Display System
Traditional printed material and Mannequins are relatively
easy to move around a window display but moving your
dynamic signage on a 60” screen fixed to the ceiling along
with the cabling will offer a daunting challenge – until now.
Not only did the screen have to move along the window
from side to side but it also had to rotate from landscape
to portrait. Unicol Special Products Division set to work
and produced a roller track system that would support
a variety of different sized screens with the ability to be
moved across the window. The design included the desired
rotation and also added swivel so that the screen could be
angled for the best viewing position.
Rolling 175” Giant Touch Screen
The Unicol Adapta-Wall system was chosen to create a 4 x 3 Video Wall using 12 x 46” screens.
A custom built U-Touch panel was then fixed to the front
to turn it into a giant touch screen. The client wanted
the whole video wall to have the facility to be pushed
backwards for cleaning and maintenance so a roller
system was designed to take the place of the normal bolt
down bases. This allowed the 4m wide and 2m high unit
to be rolled back a distance of 770mm.
