Introduction
First of all, many thanks for purchasing the Sweex 3.5” External Storage Solution USB 2.0. By means of this external casing you can quickly
and easily connect an additional 3.5" hard disk to your PC or notebook. The external casing features a USB 2.0 connection.
To ensure this product operates correctly, we advise you to carefully read this manual first. If despite this manual you still experience problems
during installation or operation of this product, go to www.sweex.com and look under the heading service & support.

Installation
Remove the metal top and bottom of the external casing. In the casing you can now see both the IDE cable and the power supply connection
for the 3.5"IDE hard disk. Carefully slide the IDE cable connector onto the hard disk. Note that the cable is properly connected; do not force
anything. Connect the power supply cable at the same time.
Screw four screws (included) tight into the bottom so that the hard disk is properly secured. See the illustration below.
Re-attach the metal top and bottom of the external casing and screw these tight with four screws (included).
Note!
Depending on the number of USB devices connected, the USB port of the computer may supply insufficient power. In that case, you can use an
optional external power supply adaptor. This adapter must provide five volts (DC voltage) / two amperes.
Once connected, Windows will prompt that new hardware has been found. After a few seconds this notification will be replaced with the note
that the hardware is ready to be used. Windows will now display an additional drive letter for the 3.5" unit.

All articles supplied under the name Sweex have a warranty of three years. We do not provide support or warranty on supplied software,
rechargeable batteries and batteries. Warranty work is only handled via the dealer where the article was purchased.
