Step 1: Power up your In-Home Display (IHD)
Plug the power adaptor into a 120 V AC wall outlet and press the middle button to turn on. Your IHD can also operate your IHD on batteries so that you can take the display throughout your home and explore how the use of different appliances impacts your energy use. Charge the IHD batteries overnight before first use. Select Scroll Power on
Step 2: Select Language for IHD text
 Select language using the up ▲button to scroll through options.  Press the center √ button to select the desired language. (This selection only impacts labels on the information screens and menus. This selection does not translate messages sent by the utility via the Smart meter). Step 3: Join your IHD to your meter  Log into your PG&E My Energy account at http://www.pge.com/myenergy.  On the bottom of the Overview page, select Home and Business Area Network.  Register and Join your Aztech In‐Home Display. During the pairing process,  “Acquiring Signal” will be displayed and  the light bar will glow red, sweeping back and forth. When the meter connection is found,  the information screens will become available for viewing and the IHD will begin receiving information from the Smart meter. If no connection is found within 5 minutes,  verify that the Acquiring Signal message is being displayed  (if you have not selected a language, repeat step 2) and  move the IHD closer to the meter. If no connection is found after moving closer to your meter,  please contact your utility to confirm that your IHD has been registered and that the utility is ready to join your IHD with the meter.
