AXIS 262+ Installation Guide Page 9 Unit Connectors RS-232 connector - For the connection of a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) unit. For approved models, see the AXIS 262+ User’s Manual. Network connector- RJ-45 Ethernet connector. Using shielded cables is recommended. I/O terminal connector - The 9-pin I/O terminal connector provides the interface to four digital outputs, four digital photo-coupled inputs and Ground. Pin Function State Notes Must not be exposed to voltages greater than 5V DC Connect to GND to activate, or leave floating (or unconnected) to deactivate. 1 2 3 4 5 6 Alarm recording starts/ stops Camera lost Output GND Specifications If any of the sources start or stop alarm recording, AXIS 262+ outputs the status High/ Low If any of the sources looses a connection with a camera, AXIS 262+ outputs the status High 7 Hard disk error If a hard disk error occurs, it outputs the status High 8 Hard disk full If the hard disk is full it outputs the status High 9 Ground Pin layouts Max load = 100mA Max voltage = 24V DC (to the transistor) Uses an opencollector NPN transistor with the emitter connected to the GND pin. If used with an external relay, a diode must be connected in parallel with the load, for protection against voltage transients. ENGLISH ENGLISH Alarm input Event
