d
Lets consider the main ingredients of the intelliCIG and their origins:
The main ingredient is
PROPYLENE GLYCOL (Approx 50%) which is an odourless and
colourless viscous liquid, Propylene glycol is commonly used in food,
cosmetics and medicines and as a food colouring and flavouring. It is
also present in regular cigarettes used to maintain a dampness in the
tobacco.
GLYCEROL (Approx 8%) occurs naturally in the human body and is
made during the hydrolysis of vegetable or animal fat or oil. It is used
extensively in mouthwash, toothpaste, medicines and in nutritional
products.
PURE WATER (Approx 18%) this needs little explanation!
VANILLA (<5%) Comes from the plant ‘Vanilla planifolia’ which is used
extensively in foods and scents.
MENTHOL ( Approx 4%) is used extensively in sweets, chewing gum,
and many other common use products.
LINALOOL is a tertiary alcohol and has a pleasant, rose smelling scent.
It is used largely as a raw material in the production of Vitamin E. It is
used often as a fragrance and flavour.

Main Contents of IntelliCig Cartridge
The pressure sensing flow switch within the intelliCIG is very sensitive. Occasionally the light may
not come on as easily as normal when inhaling, the slightest dirt ingress can cause this. Just blow
gently! from the LED end of the battery.

Hydrogen Cyanide: A colourless poisonous gas. Short-term exposure causes headaches, dizziness,
nausea and vomiting.
Lead: Of the heavy metal group. Stunts growth and damages the brain, kidneys and nervous
system. Lead is more easily absorbed in the growing bodies so children are particularly vulnerable.
Exposure in children can result in development delays, lower IQ levels, shortened attention spans
and increased behavioural problems
Methoprene: An insecticide used to kill fleas on your pets.
Mercury: A heavy metal, affects the central nervous system. Exposure causes tremors, memory
loss and kidney disease.
Nickel: A heavy metal, affects the central nervous system. Exposure causes increased susceptibility
to respiratory infections.
Nitric oxide: Produces short-term effects on airway activity. High concentrations can lead to acute
lung dysfunction.
Phenol: Used in disinfectants and plastic. Exposure causes skin, eye, and mucus membrane
irritation.
Polonium: A cancer causing radioactive element.
Propylene Glycol: Added by the tobacco industry to keep cheap tobacco from drying out. It also
has been known to aid in delivery of nicotine to the brain.
Styrene: Found in insulation material. Causes headaches, fatigue, weakness, and depression.
Toluene: Embalmers glue, which is a central nervous system depressant. Exposure causes ataxia,
tremors, cerebral atrophy, nystagmus, impaired speech, hearing and vision, headaches, dizziness
and difficulty sleeping.
Turpentine: A toxic chemical used in paint stripper
As with many battery operated devices best results are often obtained when fully charged. Try to
keep charged where possible between uses. This does not cause ANY harm to the intelliCIG.

Acetone: One of the active ingredients in nail polish remover.
Ammonia: A caustic agent used in fertilizers and household cleaners. Is added to enhance the
flavour of a cigarette, but also helps the smoker to absorb more nicotine thereby enhancing addiction.
Arsenic: Makes your lips burn and is responsible for giving you bad breath.
Benzopyrene: One of the most potent cancer-causing chemicals in the world. Found in coal
tar and cigarette smoke.
Benzene: An industrial chemical and a constituent of gasoline. It is a group 1 carcinogen and
is responsible for causing leukaemia and aplitic anaemia.
Butane: A key component of gasoline, it’s highly flammable.
Carbon Monoxide: A colourless, odourless gas, which starves the body of existing oxygen.
Cadmium: Used in batteries and oil paint. It is a group 1 carcinogen. It damages the liver,
kidneys, and brain and remains in the body for years (>10 years). Is also excreted in the breast
milk of nursing mothers.
Formaldehyde: Used in embalming (preserving tissue). Causes cancer and damages the lung,
skin, and digestive tract.
When using the first time allow at least one full cartridge use before expecting best results in terms
of ‘smoke’, taste and kick.
Chemicals in Regular Cigarettes
It has been found that there are approximately 4,800 chemicals in
cigarettes and in the smoke they generate. Out of those 4,800 chemicals,
43 have been specifically identified to cause cancer.
This is only a ‘sample’ list of the chemicals ingested when you inhale a
cigarette:
Lets look at just a small fraction of them:
QUICK START GUIDE
The Electronic Cigarette is the result of research and development of a
non-flammable cigarette substitute. You can use the Electronic Cigarette
either to continue to enjoy your pleasure in a healthier manner or to quit
smoking in a totally self managed way.
Listed bottom left is less than 20% of the ingredients of Cigarettes. What
is most important is to realise that though many of these are approved
by our Governments as additives for food very few if any have been
tested by burning. It is the burning of many of these substances which
changes their properties, most often for the worst! Well over 4000
chemicals are created by burning a cigarette, many of these are toxic
and/or carcinogenic.
Getting the most from your intelliCIG
Regular Cigarettes ‘the facts’
Various scientific research has shown that cigarette smoke contains
approximately 4,800 chemical substances & compounds, many of which
are harmful to the human body, with 25 diseases directly related to
smoking. The carbon monoxide, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon
and nitrosamine in cigarette smoke are considered the most dangerous
carcinogenic substances.
Second-hand or passive smoking has allegedly caused serious health
issues for men, women and children. Many countries have already or
will soon be banning smoking in public places. A ban came into force in
the UK on 1st July 2007.
When using for the first time drops of liquid may be drawn though the mouthpiece. To prevent this
it is best to wait approximately 5 minutes after inserting the cartridge before then to LIGHTLY BLOW
through the mouthpiece for 1-2 seconds. If during your first few inhalations small drops of liquid
appear on the mouthpiece. Simply wipe the mouthpiece dry. Do not ingest the liquid, Wipe your
mouth with the back of your hand. Function will be normal after a short time.

Product Information
The Intelli-Cig Electronic Cigarette is a non flammable electronic vaporising
device that uses microelectronics and micro atomizing technology to deliver
a relatively harmless ‘smoking’ sensation. The cartridge contains high purity
nicotine, extracted from tobacco which along with predominantly water and
propylene glycol (a food additive) is vaporised instantly when inhaled. The
addition of the propylene glycol in the cartridge provides a VAPOUR which
closely resembles smoke. This ‘water vapour’ has no risk to the user
or to persons around them. Unlike cigarette smoke which has a particulate
content which is deposited all around, visible by the yellow stains and
marks associated with smoking.
The essential differences between the Intelli-Cig Electronic Cigarette and
regular cigarettes is:
NO TAR or other Carcinogenic substances or harmful ingredients known
to harm the human body.
NO LIT OR BURNING SUBSTANCE Hence no danger from the 4000+
substances produced when burning a regular cigarette.
HARMLESS to other people and the environment without any dangers
of passive smoking.
NO FIRE RISK since there is no burning or Lit substance.
TOTALLY LEGAL to use in any location and within any premises that
introduced a ban on cigarettes with the introduction of the Health Act
How to use the Intelli-Cig
Step 1: Attach the vapour device to the battery by screwing clockwise.
Step 2: Remove cartridge from packaging and remove the sealing plug.
Step 3: Plug the cartridge onto the battery.
Once the vapour device and cartridge is attached to the battery the intellicig is ready for use.
The intelli-cig will function automatically when you inhale through the
mouthpiece. At this point the indicator LED at the front of the battery will
illuminate. As soon as you stop inhaling the device will switch to standby mode and the LED will extinguish. Always store the intelli-cig horizontally
where possible to avoid liquid from within the cartridge from leaking into
the mouthpiece.
On average a ‘smoker’ performs between 14 & 18 inhalations when
smoking a regular cigarette. It is recommended that after inhaling the
usual number of times you should stop smoking for about half an hour
before ‘smoking’ again.
Cartridge Information
Our Cartridges are unique to intelli-cig. Do not assume that a ‘regular’ from another
‘supplier’ is the same as ours! IT IS NOT. If you search the Internet you will see that
we are one of very few companies to actually produce our own product. Most sellers
just buy in and sell out a box, at the most with there own brand printed on it!
We have invested a lot of time and resource to produce the intelli-cig which is probably
why you are so impressed in its use! One of the most important things is the Cartridge
and its contents. You will find many alternatives but we assure you our cartridge taste
is unique to intelli-cig. We are so sure about our development and research that if
you are not happy with any cartridges we offer a money back guarantee.
Many cartridges supplied by other electronic cigarette suppliers are inferior and you
will often find that in a pack of 5 cartridges 1 or 2 have leaked and are useless since
they have lost their liquid content. You will see it all over your hands! We guarantee
intelli-cig cartridges will not leak!
intelli-cig offer a range of cartridges available from your newsagent
or the place where you purchased it. They are always available
directly from us too!

STRENGTHS
The cartridge contains highly purified nicotine. Nicotine is a natural alkaloid
extracted from the tobacco leaf and/or other plants containing nicotine.
Nicotine is one of the most addictive substances known and is a main
ingredient that makes smokers addicted to the habit. When a person
inhales a cigarette nicotine enters the blood within 7-10 seconds giving t
The intelli-cig cartridge is free from the THOUSANDS of harmful substances
within cigarettes and cigarette smoke such as TAR, CARBON MONOXIDE
and many CARCINOGENIC SUBSTANCES.
The Intelli-Cig cartridge contains few ingredients all of which are far far
less harmful than cigarettes. When inhaled the vapour chamber releases
a small quantity of highly purity nicotine and water vapour. Upto now
various independent testing establishments have indicated the electronic
cigarette to be safe. Clearly there is always some risk in everything we do
but when compared to the known risks of cigarettes it is relatively harmless.
Typically, assuming approx 15 inhalations using a regular cigarette, you
can expect 1 cartridge to last the equivalent of 4 - 7 cigarettes.

The LED will light when you inhale and go out when you stop inhaling.
If you regularly inhale more than 5 seconds the LED will flash for 15
seconds to advise you to ‘slow down’!
When the LED flashes 10 times this indicates the battery needs
recharging. As with most battery powered devices, the best
performance is obtained on a fully charged battery. You can charge
any time between smoking.
As charging commences the LED will flash 10 times.
