The selecton of the RAID configuraton should be based upon factors ncludng performance, data securty, and the number of drves avalable. It s best to carefully consder
the long-term role of the system and plan the data storage strategy. RAID sets can be
created ether automatcally, or to allow the greatest flexblty, manually.

Installng the RAID Drver (for bootable RAID Array)
1. After you complete the RAID BIOS setup, boot from the Wndows CD, and the Wndows Setup program starts.
2. Press F6 and wat for the Wndows Setup screen to appear.
3. Insert the floppy that contans the RAID drver, press the “S” key to select “Specfy
Addtonal Devce”.
Note: for Wndows Vsta/ Wndows 7, you can copy the files to a medum (floppy/
CD/ DVD or USB)

Please follow the nstructon below to make a SATA RAID drver for yourself.
• Insert the MSI DVD nto the DVD-ROM drve.
