INTRODUCTION
This remote control is designed to operate a television’s 4 main
functions:
Channel change - Volume - On/Off - Mute
It is so easy to operate that it is the ideal “complement” to your
original remote control. Its memory contains a set of “codes”
compatible with most TV models of the brands shown in this
user’s manual and also many others that are not shown. It is therefore not necessary to have a working original remote control.
INSERTING THE BATTERIES
Open the battery compartment by sliding down the bottom part
of the front of the case and insert the batteries, ensuring correcting polarity +/- (see Fig. 1).
Use only use only AAA batteries (LR 03).
HOW TO MAKE IT WORK
If your TV set is of one of the brands shown in table 1, follow the
procedure described in paragraph A, if not go to the procedure
described in paragraph B.
PROCEDURE A
SEARCH BY BRAND
A.1 Consult “Table 1” find the brand of your TV and make a
note of the code allocated to the corresponding group. If
your TV is, for example, a Philips, the code for its group
is 1222.
A.2 Switch the TV on to any channel.
A.3 Press and release the internal
SEARCH button:
the LED will flash quickly.
Within 8 seconds, referring to Fig.2, key in the code you
already noted (for instance, for code Philips 1222 press in succession the following buttons:
)
A.4 Point the remote control towards the TV and keep the
off button pressed down
(see note 5).
RELEASE IT AS SOON AS THE TV GOES OFF (see note 6).
A.5 Switch the TV on again (see Note 1) and check that the
commands are working correctly (see Notes 2/3/4).
If everything is OK you can close the battery compartment and
start using your new remote control. If you are having trouble
with some of the functions (if, for instance, you cannot alter the
volume or change channel, or mute the sound) you have to continue the search: repeat the operation described above and,
when the TV goes off, check again that the commands are
working correctly. If you still have problems, start the search
again until you find the right memorization point.
PROCEDURE B
INSERTING A TV MODEL CODE
B.1 Switch your TV on any channel.
B.2 Make a note of the codes listed for the brand of your TV
as shown on “table 2” and try them one by one as follows:
Press and release the internal
SEARCH button; the LED
will flash quickly.
Within 8 seconds... key in the first code you noted down and
watch the LED which should flash twice. If the LED flashes
only once repeat the operation.
Point the remote control towards your TV and press the “OFF” button
. If the set switches off, follow the procedure described
at A.5. If it does not switch off, or the buttons do not work correctly, repeat B.1 and B.2 for the next code until you find the correct
one for your set.

Tables 1 and 2, you have to follow procedure “C”.
PROCEDURE C
GLOBAL SEARCH
C.1 Switch your TV on to any channel.
C.2 Press and release the internal
SEARCH button:
the LED will flash quickly. Within 8 seconds, while pointing the remote control towards the TV, press the “OFF”
button
and keep it pressed down (see note 5).
RELEASE IT AS SOON AS THE TV GOES OFF (see
Note 6).
If the TV goes off, follow the procedure described at A.5.
NOTES
To switch on the TV, depending on the model, you must:
press button

at the same time
To go back to no.1 from any channel, press buttons

5 During this phase the LED will give a series of flashes to
confirm that the search is in progress.
6 The full search takes approx 6 minutes for the Search by
Brand and approx 9 minutes for the Global Search; the
LED flashes 5 times to indicate that it is finished. If you
have not been successful, repeat the search keeping the
button pressed down until the LED flashes 5 times
again. If you have to interrupt the search, releasing the
button, it will start again from the point where it was interrupted.

WHAT TO DO IF..
The LED does not flash even though you have inserted the batteries and pressed the internal
SEARCH button?
Make sure that the batteries are new and have been inserted
with the correct polarity (+/-).
You have some problem after a period of satisfactory use?
Replace both batteries

Opm.5 Gedurende de zoektocht geeft het indicatielampje van
de SIMPLEX TV korte flitsen.
Opm.6 De totale zoektocht van procedure A duurt +/- 6 minuten, van procedure C +/- 9 minuten. Het indicatielampje
knippert vijf keer om het einde van de zoektocht aan te
geven. Als er nog geen resultaat is probeer het dan nog
een keer. Na een onderbreking in de zoekfunctie (de
OFF<
> toets loslaten), gaat de SIMPLEX TV verder
met zoeken vanaf waar hij gestopt was.
WAT TE DOEN ALS:
Het indicatielampje niet flitst nadat de batterijen zijn geplaatst
en er op de "SEARCH"
knop is gedrukt?
•
Controleer of de batterijen nog vol zijn en of deze goed
zijn geplaatst (+ en -)
De SIMPLEX TV na verloop van tijd fouten maakt?
•
Vervang de batterijen
