Manufacturing Corp. The Two-Way
Mounting Assembly comes in a variety of
sizes in aluminum, steel, and stainless steel.
The hinged collar has an I.D. from 1/2 to
4 in. that attaches to a 4 or 6 in. long
mounting bracket using a cap screw.

The 10 Minute Epoxy FR (flame-retardant)
from Devcon fills gaps and bonds metals,
fabrics, glass, wood and concrete in all combinations, and its properties make it suitable
for securing honeycombed floor and ceiling
panels in commercial airplanes. Mixed as
dispensed, the epoxy has a viscosity of
80,000 cps, a working time of 10 min, a fixture time of 20 min, and a functional cure
time of 3 h at 72∞F. Bonds pass the U.S. federal 60 s vertical burn test and the solventfree formulation has low VOC emissions.

The patented Nylok Blue Torq-Patch
process from Nylok Corp., a self-locking
nylon patch, is permanently spray bonded
onto the threads of most nut types. When
mating threads are engaged, the element is
compressed and a counterforce is created
to establish a much stronger metal-tometal contact, while allowing the locknuts
to be adjusted or reused. The patch can be
applied with coverage of 180º or 360º to
any nut from as small as #10 (M5) and up.
It works with different torque levels in
temperatures from -56º to 121ºC.
