Another level adapting method could be done using a standard RS232 Transceiver (MAX3237EAI) adding some resistors to adapt the levels on the GE865 Input lines. NOTE: In this case has to be taken in account the length of the lines on the application to avoid problems in case of High-speed rates on RS232.
