Tests were carried out on Epsibrick 7 External Wall Insulation System to determine:
• resistance to freeze/thaw
• heat/spray cycling
• impact resistance
• water vapour permeability
• fire performance
• thermal conductivity to BS EN ISO 6946 : 2007
• bond strength
• durability of finish coatings
• pull-through resistance.
18 Investigations
18.1 The manufacturing process was evaluated, including the methods adopted for quality control, and details were
obtained of the quality and composition of materials used.
18.2 An assessment of the risk of interstitial condensation was undertaken.
18.3 The practicability of installation and the effectiveness of detailing techniques were examined.
