Initial Camera Setup

Insert a fully charged battery.
Insert and format a high capacity memory card.
Set Date and Time.
Set REC Mode to “M” Manual Exposure Shooting. Set shutter speed to
60 or 125 for fast moving subjects. Set Aperture to F8.0 for close-up
photography or F3.3 for general photography.
Set ISO to “100.”
Set Still Image Size to “16M.”
Set Focus to “Center AF.”
Set Metering Mode to”Center.”
Set White Balance to “Auto.”
Set Flash to “On
always use flash.”
Set Blink Alert to “Off.”
Set AF Illuminator to “Off.”
Set Red-Eye Reduction to “Off.”
NOTE: If overexposure occurs when shooting close subjects, set aperture
to F8.0 and/or back away from the subject and zoom in.
