Next, the correct drive ID must be entered. (This is not required if the “Use Default Com
Channel and Drive ID” box is selected.)
The TABLE ELEMENT entry defines the bit number in the ADD32 digital table that is to be
viewed and possibly edited. A TABLE ELEMENT entry of 12 would correspond to bit 12
(D012) in the digital table. Reference the ADD-32 manual (Appendix C) for the desired
element (parameter) number.
The Allow Edit box must be checked if it is required that the user be able to alter the state of
the bit from the Real Time window.
The box marked LABEL TEXT is where the text can be manually entered, if not uploading
the text online from an ADD32 drive. “Use Drive Label” should not be checked (selected)
to use the LABEL TEXT box. “Use Drive Label” should only be checked if you want to
upload the text from the drive.
Press the APPLY button to return to the Real Time window.
Upon return to the Real Time window, if the screen has been configured and “On Line” has
been selected from the ON/OFF Line pull-down menu, the digital button legends on the Real
Time window will be filled with data read from the defined ADD32 drive. If communication
to the drive is not successful, then the legend will not be filled and the button color will be
yellow. The legend will be correctly filled upon successful communications to the drive.

EDITING in the Real Time Window
Editing of an analog parameter shown in the Real Time window (and configured to be
editable) may be acomplished by left mouse clicking on the VALUE field of the parameter.
The following edit box will open (Figure 8-8).
