Freshwater System
!
WARNING!
• Only use safe drinking (potable) water in your yacht’s freshwater system.
• Only use an FDA approved, white 'drinking water safe' hose to fill the freshwater tank or to
connect to city water.
• NEVER use a common garden hose for drinking water.
• Read the Freshwater System section in the Cruiser &
Yacht Owner’s
Manual Supplement.
• Your yacht is equipped with
a pressure type (demand)
freshwater (potable) system.
• This system can be pressurized by turning On the
freshwater pump switch or
by connecting to city water.
• See the Locations section of
this Owner’s Manual for the
locations of the freshwater
pump switch and the city
water inlet.
• Since the freshwater pump
requires DC power, the battery switch must also be
turned On for the pump
to work.
• NEVER leave the yacht
unattended while using the
'city water' feature.
• Turn Off the freshwater
pump switch when the yacht
is not in use or when the
freshwater tank is empty.
• Inspect and clean the freshwater filter often (located on
the freshwater pump).
• If your yacht is to be left
unattended for a long period
of time, pump the freshwater tank dry to prevent
stored water from becoming stagnant and distasteful.
• If the freshwater system
needs to be disinfected, ask
your dealer about the treatments available.
