7.8 Powering on the System All external connection to the IP Hardware Decoder products should be made, as described in the previous sections, before proceeding to power on the system. On powering the IP Hardware Decoder, the system will boot in approx. 45 seconds, although a blue screen will be visible on the video outputs within a few seconds of applying power. The LED’s on the unit’s front panel show the progress of the boot sequence. There are two LED’s for each decoder card fitted in the unit. Refer to section 7.3 for meaning of LED’s. 17
