NITRO-BID (Nitroglycerin Ointment)
Paramedic – Standing Order
1. Measure the desired dosage of NITRO-BID by means of the dose measuring applicator
supplied.
2. Place the applicator on a flat surface, printed side down.
3. Squeeze the desired amount of ointment from the tube onto the applicator.
4. Ensure desired area of skin with little or no hair that is free of scars, cuts, or irritation.
5. Place the applicator (ointment side down)
6. Spread the ointment using the dose measuring applicator
7. DO NOT rub the skin
