Character strings • For input purposes character strings must be enclosed in quotation marks. Quotation marks are also used in output. e.g. UCC”TEST”(x) Command terminator in input commands: • The command terminator is marked with an (x). Permitted command terminators are: ’;’, LF, LFCR, CRLF, <EOI> in output commands: • The command terminator is marked with a (y). The command terminator is always CRLF and for the IEEE interface <EOI> also. Operation with computer or terminal
