Change [m][°C] ↔ [feet][°F] • Enable the test signal at the reference speaker A. Switch off all other speakers. • The delay time of the acoustic signal with reference to the electrical input signal is displayed in milliseconds. The distance result in meter/feet is displayed for easy verification of the test results. The readings are based on 330 m/s sound speed at 0°C / 32°F. • Set the actual environment temperature, so the distance is displayed correctly. Store reference • Select STORE to memorize this test result as reference record for further delay time measurements. • The stored reference delay time is shown in the delay time memory field. Measure Propagation Time at Speaker B • Enable the test signal at the speaker B. Switch off all other speakers. • The acoustical delay time of speaker B with reference to the electrical input signal is displayed as big test result. Automatic Time Difference Calculation • The delay time difference is automatically calculated and shown in the upper small STO-ACT (stored - actual) field. The automatic difference calculation simplifies the verification of delay line arrangements, e.g. used in larger halls or auditoriums. 51
