How to Use the Automatic Update Functions (continued)
track since the last time the MRA Custom profile was created or updated, these new races will be included in the MRA
Custom profile analysis. And, if the total races that pass the Race Screens exceed the Max MRA Races setting, ALLWays will use the newest races just added and ignore the oldest races. A good way to think of this is that this new feature
gives you a simple way to keep your MRA Custom profiles updated on a rolling basis.
Automatic Function
The Automatic Functions saves a lot of time in preparing to do your handicapping for a track. You simply tell ALL-Ways
which functions you want it to perform, click the GO button and walk away. ALL-Ways will automatically perform any,
all or any combination of running the MRA Default function, running the Automatic Update of MRA Custom profiles,
running the MRA Pace function and/or running any or all of the Race Card functions.
How to use the Automatic Function
1 From the Main Menu go to the Analysis Module.
2 Enter the track code and click TRACK OK.
3 Click the AUTO button. This will display the list of check boxes for all the functions that the Automatic
Function is capable of performing.
Note: You will also see the track code you entered as well as three empty boxes. You may, at this time, add one,
two or three more track codes. Then, when you click “GO AUTO”, the selected automatic functions will be
performed for each of the up to four tracks, one track after the other.
4 Select the functions that you want ALL-Ways to automatically perform. The choices are:
- MRA Default
Creates the MRA Default Handicapping Profiles
- MRA Custom
Automatically updates MRA Custom profiles that were created in Version 8.0
- MRA Pace
Creates the MRA Pace Handicapping Profiles
- Race Card
Runs the Race Card function for the most recent race card in your Race Database for the
track.
NOTE: You must also tell ALL-Ways if you want the Race Card function to print the IV
Analysis Reports for each race and/or to create the Best Factor profiles and/or to create the
MRA profiles.
- Gap Statistics
Updates both the Gap Analysis Statistics and the Key Horse Statistics without printing a
report. The statistics are used at handicapping time by the Gap Search feature and the Key
Horse Candidate Search feature.
- Profile Performance
Automatically updates the performance statistics for all your Handicapping Profiles.
It does not print out a report. The statistics will be printed on selected handicapping reports.
5 Click the GO AUTO button
At this point, ALL-Ways will start working automatically to carry out all the functions you selected. When it is done,
you can do the same thing for additional tracks, if you are playing more than one track, or you can go directly to the
Handicapping Module to let ALL-Ways handicap the races and print the handicapping reports.
NOTE: Because the Race Card Function within the Automatic Function always processes the most recent race
card in your Race Database for the track, you will want to run the Par Update and the Translate functions for
the race card before invoking the Automatic Function. If you want to run the Race Card Function for a different
race card, simply use the Race Card Function itself.
