Connectingtheappliance Danger!Checkthatthemainspowersupplyvoltagecorresponds tothevalueindicatedontheapplianceratingplate. Connecttheappliancetoanefficientlyearthedandcorrectly installedsocketwithaminimumcurrentratingof10Aonly. Ifthepowersocketdoesnotmatchtheplugtheappliance,havethe socketreplacedwithasuitabletypebyaqualifiedprofessional. Tocomplywithsafetydirectives,arockswitchwithaminimum contactdistanceof3mmmustbeinstalled. Donotusemultiplesocketsorextensions. AUTOMATICCUPTRAYLIGHT When the appliance is turned on, the lights (near coffee spout) automatically illuminate the spout and cup tray. The lights stay on 60severytime. N.B.:Thelightagainilluminatebytouch“on/off”buttononce. Important! Donotlookatthelightsdirectlyorusinganoptical 10 instrument. BUILT-ININSTALLATION Verifytheminimummeasurerequiredforcorrectinstallationofthe appliance. Theappliancemustbeinstalledinacolumnandthecolumnmustbe firmlyfixedtothewallwithcommerciallyavailablebrackets. Important: All installation or maintenance operations must be performed withtheappliancedisconnectedfromthemainselectricitysupply. Kitchenfurnitureindirectcontactwiththeappliancemustbeheat resistant(<65℃). Toguaranteecorrectventilation,leaveagapatthebottomofthe cabinet(seemeasurementsinfigure). Checkthecabinetsizeisfitthispicturebeforeinstall. 11 Step1:Installguideconnectbracket-----fixwiththescrews Step2:Putthisguideincabinet.Noticeinrightposition----inmiddle ofcabinetandfixwiththescrews. 12 Step3:Extractthisguidetooutside-----extractcompletely. Step4:Putcoffeemachineintheguide.Thisactionmayuse2 13 people-----oneembracethemachineandotheradjustinright locationandgraspthesescrews. Step5:Extractedthismachinetooutside.Openthecoffeebeancover toaddcoffeebeansincontainer. Step6:Openthetankcoverinleftside. 14 Step7:Takeoutthetankandaddpurewaterin,theninsertin originalposition,putthismachinetoBuilt-incabinet,puttheplugin supplyandturnonmainswitch(A5)youcanusethismachine. Iftheapplianceisinstalledoverawarmerdrawer(500Wmax.),use thetopsurfaceofthisasareferencetopositiontherails. Fixthepowercablewiththecliptoavoidittanglingwhenthe applianceisinsertedorextracted. Thepowercablemustbelongenoughtoallowtheappliancetobe extractedfromthecabinettofillthecoffeebeanscontainer. Theappliancemustbeearthedincompliancewithlegislation. Electricalconnectionsmustbeperformedbyaqualifiedelectricianin compliancewiththemanufacturer'sconstructionandlegislationin forceinthecountryofinstallation. USINGTHEAPPLIANCEFORTHEFIRSTTIME Coffeemachinehasbeenusedtofactorytesttheapplianceandit isthereforecompletelynormalfortheretobetracesofcoffeein themill. Youshouldsetwaterhardnessassoonaspossiblefollowingthe instructionsinthe“Settingwaterhardness”chapter. 15 Connecttheappliancetothemainselectricitysupplyandturnonthe mainswitch(A5). 1. themachinedisplay“welcome***”forseveralsecondthenLCD displayed“opentap”,press“enter”(B8)button,thenpumpiswork andLCDdisplay“systemfilling”,afterseveralsecondthepumpis turnoffandLCDdisplay “closetap”,press“enter”buttonagain andLCDturnblack. 2. Presson/offbutton(B1)over3secondthenLCDdisplay“heating”, After several second LCD display “ press rinse ” , then press “ steam/rinse ” (B5) button, the machine start work and LCD display“rinsing” --flowwaterfromcoffeespout.ifthisprogram finishedLCDmaydisplay“ready”or“heating”. 3. WhenLCDdisplay“ready” thatmeanwecanmakecoffeenow. press1cup(B2),themachineWillautomaticstartworkandcoffee mayflowout.Wecanuse“+”keyor“-”keytoadjustthevolume ofcoffeeandalsocanbesetthe “aroma”ofcoffee. 4. WhenLCDdisplay“ready”,press2cupbottom(B3),thatmeanthe volumeofcoffeeisdoublethan1cup. 5. WhenLCDdisplay“ready”,ifpress“steam/rinse”button(B5)once, thatmeanoutput“rinse”program,ifpress“steam/rinse”. Buttonover3second,thatmeanstartmakesteamprogram- The heater keep work on and LCD display“heating”, if reach the temperature,LCDDisplay“steamready”nextdisplay“opentap”, press“enter”(B8)buttonandsteamwillsprayout. Youcanpress“+”or“-”keytocontrolthetimeofoutputsteam. 6. Afterfinishsteamandifwanttocomebaketo“coffee”mode,press “steam/rinse”button again hold on over 3 second and LCD may display “ready”. 7. WhenLCDdisplay“ready”,press“enter”button,thenhotwater maysprayfromtheSteamnozzle,atthesametimeLCDdisplay “hotwater”.Youcanpress“enter”buttontostop“hotwater” atanytime.Ifyouwanttocontrolthevolumeofhotwater,press “+”or“-”keyandthentheoutputwaterreachthesetvolume, pumpwillstopandnowatercanflowoutandLCDdisplay“close tap.Afteryoupress“enter”buttonLCDmaydisplay“ready”or “heating”….. 8. Ifyoupressthe“ON/off”(B1)buttonover3secondthemachine willturnoffatanystate. 16 9. Youcaninsertthespecialaccessoryandcanmake“cappuccino” insteammold. Important! To prevent malfunction, never introduce pre-ground coffee, freeze dried coffee, caramelized beans or anything else which coulddamagetheappliance，thecoffeemachineisfornormaluse. N.B.! Each time the coffee machine is turned on by using the mainswitch(A5). TURNINGONANDHEATINGUP Eachtimetheapplianceisturnedon,itperformanautomatic preheatandrinsecyclewhichcannotbeinterrupted. Theapplianceisreadyforuseonlyaftercompletionofthiscycle. Danger of burns!Duringrinsing,alittlehotwaterflowsfromthe coffeespouts.Avoidcontactwithsplashesofwater. Toturntheapplianceon,keeponpresstheknob(B1).And “HEATING”isdisplayedafterheating,themessage“pressrinse”is displayed.Wepress“steam/rinse”button,themachinewillrunin rinseprogram. Aswellasheatingtheboiler,theappliancealsoheatstheinternal circuitsbycirculatinghotwater. Theapplianceisattemperaturewhenthemessage“READY”is displayed. MAKINGCOFFEEUSINGCOFFEEBEANS Theapplianceispresettomakecoffeewitha“normal”aroma.You canalsochoosecoffeewith“strong”or“mild”taste. Tochoosetherequiredaroma,youmayusethemethodhowtoset menuparameters,see“settingwaterhardness”chapter. Placeacupunderthespoutstomake1cupcoffeeor2cupscoffees. Lowerthespoutsasnearaspossibletothecupforacreamiercoffee. Pressthebutton(B2)tomake1cupcoffee,thebutton(B3)for2cup coffee Tochangethequantityofcoffeetheappliancedeliversautomatically into the cup, proceed as described in the following chapter. (The appliancenowgrindsthebeansandstartsdeliveringthecoffeeinto thecup). Oncethesetamountofcoffeehasbeendelivered,themachinestops 17 deliveryautomaticallyandexpelstheexhaustedcoffeegroundsinto thegroundscontainer. Afterafewseconds,the“ready”messageisdisplayedagainandyou canmakeanothercoffee. Toturntheapplianceoff,presson/off(B1)buttonover3secondand thenLCDisblack. Theappliancewillperformsarinsecycle---asyoujustfinishmake coffee(alittlehotwaterflowsfromthespoutsandiscollectedinthe driptraybeneath.Takecaretoavoidscalds). NOTE1:Ifthecoffeeisdeliveredadropatatimeornotatall.Rotate thegrindadjustknob(A19)oneclickclockwise(see“Adjustingthe coffeemill”).Proceedoneclickatatimeuntilcoffeedeliveryis satisfactory. NOTE2：Ifthecoffeeisdeliveredtoofastandthecreamisnot satisfactory,rotatethegrindadjustknob(A19)oneclick anticlockwise(see“Adjustingthecoffeemill”). NOTE3:Tipsforahottercoffee: Whenyouturntheapplianceon,ifyouwanttomakeashortcoffee (lessthan60cc),rinsethecupswithhotwatertopreheatthecups. Ifmorethan2/3minuteshavepassedsincethelastcoffeemade, beforerequestinganothercoffee,youmustpreheattheinfuser Deliverthewaterintotheunderlyingdriptrayoralternativelyuse thiswatertofill(andthenempty)thecuptobeusedforthecoffee, soastopreheatit. Unlesspreheated,donotuseexcessivelythickcupsastheywill absorbtoomuchheat. Preheatthecupsbyrinsingthemwithhotwater. NOTE4:Whentheappliancedisplays“fillwater”,fillthetankwith waterortheappliancewillnotdelivercoffee. (Itisnormalfortheretobealittlewaterleftinthetankwhenthe messageisdisplayed). NOTE5:Afterabout15timescoffees,theappliancedisplays“EMPTY GROUND,indicatingthatthegroundcontainerisfullandmustbe emptiedandcleaned.Untilthegroundcontainerhasbeencleaned, theappliancecontinuestodisplaythemessageandcoffeecannotbe made.Toclean,extractthedriptray(A16),emptyandclean. Whencleaning,alwaysextractthedriptraycompletelytoavoidit fallingwhenthegroundcontainerisremoved. 18 Emptythegroundcontainerandcleanthoroughlytoremoveall residuesleftonthebottom. Important! Whenremovingthedriptray,thegroundcontainer mustbeemptied,evenifitisnotcompletelyfull.Ifthisisnotdone, whenyoumakethenextcoffee,thegroundcontainermayfillup morethanexpectedandclogthemachine. NOTE8:Neverextractthewatertankwhilethemachineisdelivering coffee.Ifitisremoved,itwillnotbepossibletomakethecoffeeand theappliancewilldisplay“fillwater”.Putthewatertankinoriginal position,theinterruptprogramwillgoontofinish. CHANGINGTHEQUANTITYOFCOFFEEINTHECUP Theapplianceissetbydefaulttoautomaticallymakethefollowing typesofcoffee: 1cupcoffeewhenthebutton(B2)ispressed. 2 cup coffee when the button (B3) is pressed. To change these quantities,proceedasfollows: DuringmakecoffeetheLCDdisplayvalue“**CC”,press“+”key or“-”keyandLCDdisplayconstantvalue,reachyourequirevalue, ifmachinereachthevalueandautomatictostop. ADJUSTINGTHECOFFEEMILL Thecoffeemillispresetinthefactorytomakecoffeecorrectlyand shouldnotrequireadjustinginitially. However,ifaftermakingthefirstfewcoffeesyoufindthatdeliveryis eithertoofastortooslow(adropatatime),thiscanbecorrectedby thegrindingadjustmentknob(A19). Important!Thegrindadjustknob(A19)mustonlyberotatewhen thecoffeemillisinoperation.Forslowerdeliveryandcreamier coffee,rotateoneclickanticlockwise(finer,pre-groundcoffee).For fasterdelivery(notadropatatime),turnoneclickclockwise(coarser pre-groundcoffee). (Coffeehasbeenusedtofactorytesttheapplianceanditistherefore completelynormalfortheretobetracesofcoffeeinthemill. 19 MAKINGESPRESSOCOFFEEWITHPRE-GROUNDCOFFEE(INSTEAD OFBEANS) Ifappliancedisplaysthemessage“READY”,extractthemachineby pullingitoutwardusingthehandles. Openthecoffeepowderlid(A9),placeonemeasureofpre-ground coffeeinthefunnel---useaspoon. Topureacupofcoffeepowder,thenclosethelid,LCDdisplay“coffee powder”,thenyoucanpressthe(B2)or(B3)buttononceonly. Thenextprocessissameasmakecoffeeusebeans. Afterusingthemachinewithpre-groundcoffee,thismachinewillgo backtomakingcoffeeusingbeans. NOTE1:Neverintroducepre-groundcoffeewhenthemachineisoff. NOTE2:Neveraddmorethan1levelmeasure,otherwisethe appliancewillnotmakethecoffeeandthepre-groundcoffeewillbe dispersedinsidetheappliance,dirtyingitorthecoffeewillbe deliveredadropatatime. NOTE3:Usethemeasureprovidedtoaddtherightamountof coffee---usespoon. NOTE4:Introduceonlypre-groundcoffeeforespressocoffee machinesintothefunnel.Neverfillwithcoffeebeans,freezedried coffeeorothersubstancethatcoulddamagetheappliance. NOTE5:lfmorethanonemeasureofpre-groundcoffeeisusedand thefunnelclogs,pushthecoffeedownwithaknifecleantheinfuser andmachineasdescribedinthe“Cleaningtheinfuserchapter”. DELIVERINGHOTWATER Theapplianceissetbydefaulttoautomaticallydeliver200mlofhot water. Alwaysmakesuretheapplianceisin“ready”state. Press“enter” （B8）buttonthenwaterflowfromnozzleandLCD display“hotwater”, nextLCDdisplaythequantityofthehotwater, youcanpress“+”keyor“-”keytosetthequantity. Ifhotwateroutputreachthesetquantity,thepumpwillstopand LCDdisplay “closetap”. Afterpress“ enter”buttonLCDagaindisplay“ready”. (Youshouldnotdeliverhotwaterformorethan220ccatatime). Tointerrupttheflowwater,press“enter”buttonisok. 20 Oncethesetquantityofhotwaterhasbeenreached,deliverystops automatically. MAKINGCAPPUCCINO(USINGTHESTEAMFUNCTION) Insertthesiliconetubetothisaccessory. 21 InsertaspecialaccessoryintheSteamnozzle. Takeacontainer,fillitwithabout100mlmilkorusethemilkbox. Youarerecommendedtousepartiallyskimmedatrefrigerator temperature. WhenLCDdisplay“ready”,keeponpress“steam/rinse”(B5)button thenLCDdisplay“heating”,untilLCDdisplay“steamready”andnext “opentap”. Press“enter”(B8)buttonandsteammaysprayoutfromthenozzle. Tostopsteamdeliverpress“enter”buttonagainisok. Immersethecappuccinomakerinthemilkcontainer.Takecarenot toimmersetheraisedlineonthecappuccinomaker. Steamcomesoutofthecappuccinomakergivingmilkacreamy frothyappearance. Foracreamierfroth,immersethecappuccinomakerinthemilkand rotatethecontainerwithslowupwardmovements. (Youshouldnotdischargesteamformorethan1.5minutesata time). Oncetherequiredfrothhasbeenreached,stopsteamdischargeby press“enter”button. Preparethecoffeeasdescribedaboveusingsufficientlylargecups, thenfillthemwiththefrothedmilkpreparedpreviously.The cappuccinoisready. Sweetentotasteandifdesired,sprinklethefrothwithalittlecocoa powder. IMPORTANT:alwayscleanthecappuccinosystemimmediatelyafter use. Press“enter”button(B8)todischargeasmallamountofsteamfora fewseconds.Thisemptiesthecappuccinomakerofalltracesofmilk.
