Gamatronic Electronic Industries Ltd. 16. ALARM DRY CONTACTS The rear panel of the UPS contains a standard RS232 port labeled ALARM. This port is an interface to the Alarm Dry Contacts. The Alarm Dry Contact port is shown below. The Alarm Dry Contacts can be used to notify a computer or another system when certain events take place on the POWER + SA UPS system. The Alarm Dry Contacts can report any of three conditions, as described in the following table. 74 Alarm Condition State of Dry Contacts No input voltage to the rectifier There is a voltage between This circuit is normally open. pin 3 and pin 4.
